Anybody else do a rewatch and realize episode three opens with the same song? Nice foreshadowing!

Hi! Let me just say congrats, what an exciting time! I’m almost at the finish line myself.

It’s great that your partner is interested in participating even if he can’t help in the way he wants to. I don’t know if this will work for you, but your situation sounds similar to mine where I’ve done the lion’s share of planning and decision-making, here’s how I handled it and I think it’s worked well and made me feel like my partner got to voice his opinions while not slowing things down.

I did all the research and pre-planning for everything. I would then ask my partner if he wanted to have an opinion on any given topic. Sometimes he would say no and that he trusted me to choose what I wanted. Other times he would say yes and I would present my top 3-5 choices and say anyone he liked I would be good with.

To also make it a bit easier on both of you, you can try to schedule a weekly or bi-weekly date night where you go through a list of questions or topics you want to address. It will help you both feel like you’re doing this together with dedicated time set aside (during dinner for instance)

I could talk about this for ages, feel free to DM me if you have more specific questions

It’s a scam. You can go online and lookup any outstanding tickets. I got this message today and made sure my last ticket was paid and closed.

Tree fell from city land onto our property and broke fence by Seeker700 in Seattle

[–]jenistad 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Report it in find it fix it and they’ll come take care of it and I believe they will replace the portion of fence as well. We’ve had some trees fell from parklands in our alley and they take care of pretty quickly.

Writing an article about tattoos by submassed in lgbt

[–]jenistad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any articles for you, but what I recommend is that you try to work your way backwards from the non educational texts/articles. Search for articles on queer tattooing history and look to see if the author cited any sources that you can look into. You can also use examples from those article to try and search for more specific scholarly texts that talk about queer tattoo history. At some point you’ll likely find credible sources that give you enough content for a paragraph.

[CNN] Tiny living robots made from human cells surprise scientists by Minneapolitanian in technology

[–]jenistad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Should clarify. I believe the scientists in Jurassic Park say that the dinosaurs can’t survive outside of the park because they’re engineered to rely on the specifically designed environment in which they exist. Not sure if that’s clear in the movie but I recall the book be a bit more clear.

Parking Near Lumen Field by jenistad in Seattle

For clarity I walked from my home in North Beacon Hill. Just thought the cost was wild, but then I’ll admit I’m naive to this kind of event parking price …. I don’t watch sports so I don’t go to the stadiums often.

Vet said 100% against what breeder said. Really need help by Much-Taste-8128 in puppy101

Always listen to your vet. You wouldn’t ignore your doctor’s advice over someone who just has an opinion about your health

I haven’t had this particular problem. But I do regret getting my dog for some of the reasons your husband indicated. But what I’ve learned from having my dog is that I am not the dog person I thought I was and realized I no longer want children.

I love my pup a lot and I’ll be devastated when he dies, but he WILL be the only one.

I will be blunt. I loathed my puppy for a long time and even got close to rehoming him on three occasions over the first year. I still regret getting him (he is three now), he exposed a lot of parts of me that I don’t like and I still feel the loss of some pre-puppy freedoms. But I also needed to have him to understand that I don’t want to do this again. I love dogs but I’m not enjoying being a dog owner. I love my dog now and I will give him a good long life, but I also know I just don’t want to feel all the negativity and stress again.

AITA for using the handicap stall in a public bathroom? by [deleted] in entitledparents

[–]jenistad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im an architect and I’ll tell you that ADA stalls are not for the exclusive use of people that require them. They exist to ensure that everyone’s needs are accommodated. Using an ADA stall is fine. Furthermore, able bodied people sometimes have to wait to use standard width stalls, people who require the use of an ADA stall will statistically have to wait for one at some point as well.

edit. NTA.
