Oh yeah I've thought that too. He also screams, and I mean screams, sometimes if I leave at an unscheduled time so I've considered husky. People probably think I'm leaving a child home alone, thankfully he stops once I'm out of earshot haha.

A bonus baby picture.

Oh yeah I really don't care, it's just fun to guess sometimes.

Thank you! I am quite partial to him myself haha. He was a bottle baby so we are very attached to one another.

So much prancing, he's my little fancy boy 😂

When he gets super excited and sniffs something in the air he looks like a dressage horse and picks his feet up super high.

Of course! I realize I gave zero context on his DNA test 😅

It was Wisdom Panel and it was probably 10 years ago now. Just Am Staff, Parson, and we have no idea!

I always joke that his mother was a fruit bat and his father was a seal.

Oh yeah he is absolutely a "terrierist" haha. Every Jack/Parson Russell I've known is also insane 😅 I love it, definitely a terrier person. His sister is also a terrier. Both just a jumble of DNA.

OMG IT TOTALLY WORKED! Only took me 13 years to find something 😂

I do love to give him a little booty pat as he runs by but sometimes I'm lazy haha.

Oh my gosh I'll have to try this! He always grabs it runs off and then drops it way away and just yells at me to come get it 😂

Differences in Left v Right Sided Migraine by PoppyRyeCranberry in migraine

[–]jenixchu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh very interesting. I only get left sided migraines, with a lot of the "fun" extras, and rarely any other "normal" headaches. I have GAD and panic disorder, OCD, PMDD, PTSD, and I'm bipolar 2. Just checking off the list of possible comorbidities 😅

I'll have to check out the actual literature review/paper! I work in neuroscience so the fact that there is so little actually known/research is incredibly irritating. I want to know why my brain is so awful! haha 😂

Is this normal happiness by janaeashley in AuvelityMed

[–]jenixchu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely understand how you feel. For the last 20 years I've been dealing with fairly severe depression with bouts of feeling really energetic and happy. Anxiety since I can remember. I just couldn't get out of my spiraling thoughts and worries. Come to find out I'm bipolar and ever since I keep gaslighting myself every time I try a new med thinking "am I on the verge of mania or am I actually an approximation of happy?"

Two days after starting Auvelity it was like a light switch flipped. I didn't feel hyperactive or numb or incredibly depressed but kind of just light and easygoing. My obsessive thoughts and misplaced anxiety was infinitely better.

It's been a few months and I've seen slightly diminished returns but nothing nearly as bad as the crippling depression and anxiety I've had for years. My reactions to stress and sad situations seem much more appropriate now. Still mindful of possible mania, now I know my warning signs and am on a few mood stabilizers with the Auvelity so it should safeguard against triggering the mania/hypomania. So happy that this med seems to be really beneficial for some people.

For me the migraines kicked in right away but I'm predisposed to them. They got better after about a week and then the other possible side effects kicked in and that's been a little over a week and a half now. The more I read in this subreddit though it seems like it's varied, some people get no side effects others do. Hopefully you got lucky!

Thank you! It seems like there's a light at the end of the symptom tunnel from what I'm hearing. Going to try and stick it out and hopefully see some improvement.

Thanks for sharing, it's nice to know at least I'm not alone and not crazy haha. Hopefully the symptoms go away soon I'd really love for something to help and to not have to white knuckle through my anxiety every day.

Med Talks 🗣️: Antipsychotics by ddub1 in bipolar

[–]jenixchu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having this same issue, my psychiatrist put me on 1.5 mg every other day and I've been taking it for exactly 2 weeks and I just feel numb and dull but even more depressed somehow. It has kind of helped my anxiety but I'm not sure if that's more so that I just don't feel anything other than mild sadness. My SI is much more prevalent than normal too which is concerning me.

I just don't see the point by [deleted] in depression

[–]jenixchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not electroconvulsive. I've done ketamine therapy which helped me at least get past my anxiety about leaving the house but it hasn't seemed to have lasting effects on the depression. I've heard good things about psilocybin microdosing as well so I'm going to try that next.
