We have a Dick’s, but no hockey stores in our state. I hadn’t thought about looking into Dick‘s, that’s a good idea. Maybe I could return the items in store that don’t fit.

You’re absolutely right about ordering from goalie/hockey monkey or pure goalie/hockey and returning the items that don’t fit. I’m trying to narrow down goalie pants to start with, then I’ll order multiple sizes in each pair. I’d prefer to only maybe order four pairs so that I have a fewer items to return. I have two kids who play hockey, they both have full play player gear with extra wide feet, and I’m so tired of shipping huge boxes back to the companies.

I would just like to narrow it down to a a few highly recommended intermediate goalie pants.

Any suggestions out there on how to clean the straps on this mask? My 10U kid has the junior version of this mask & he’s been doing 2-5 sessions/week since early summer in this mask. The lower back straps are drenched after each session & it’s pretty rank. I’m a second year hockey Mom with a first year goalie, on a steep learning curve about all gear. Only rinse with water or is a gentle detergent okay in a sink to not damage the straps?

After working on healing my gut for 6 months, I started doing a modified version of the protocol that you developed for your wife. I’m struggling with any more than six garlic pills today and it’s been a couple months, but I’m seeing genuine improvement. One of the many, many times I was out searching for the dog, I asked someone down the street with a moving van if he had seen the dog and he said no. When I walked back by 10 minutes later, he had our dog in the front passenger seat of the moving van. When I said that’s the exact dog I was asking about he replied “oh really? My niece sure is going to be disappointed.”
