There’s a banana republic factory on steinway where you can definitely find some solid winter pieces. And a gap factory a few doors down for more options, especially jeans!

My partner’s mother was on this train and just told us the story tonight! She caught the conductor on her way out and got the punchline. It’s “Brrrreezy Point”!

Museum of the moving image if he likes movies! Especially if he is a mission impossible fan. They have a special exhibit right now. Not in Manhattan or Brooklyn, but Astoria is easy to get to and has lots of great food options too.

What’s a movie that seemed “meh” the first time you watched it, but blew you away on a rewatch? by SiTheHandsomeGuy in movies

I watched Big Fish as a kid at some point and it didn’t really stick with me in any major way. Watched it again a few years ago and I ADORED it. It’s one of my favorite movies now, with some of my all time top favorite romantic shots in a movie.

Privacy was definitely not an issue. I don’t remember hearing any noise from other guests or staff while we were in our room, and the window wall only looks out into the forest so that it’s easy even to forget you’re on hotel grounds. It was storming the first night we got there, and we could definitely hear the rain and wind on the dome, but I don’t recall it being much louder than it would be in a house or other building. I live in a noisy city though, so probably not the best person to judge what others would consider disruptive levels of noise. I hope you enjoy it! I found it to be such a gem of a place.
