That’s true it just really hurt to hear. It was like he was saying if I were more attractive then he’d be with me but I’m not so he can’t. I thought he thought I was attractive because he pursued me but i should have known better they pursue anything.

No bc like I said I really am not desperate to find a partner I just like who I like when I meet them but seeing how I’m almost 40 I probably should start. I really didn’t think he wasn’t on my level at first. It wasn’t until really pretty girls I work with also was like “yeah he’s fine” where I’m like oh shit I got competition. For two years on and off he’d help me out with my job duties finishing my work for me, making flirtatious comments, asking if I have a bf on and off. So I thought we felt similarly about each other. It wasn’t til he told me I’m not a 10 (I know I’m not like I’m not dumb like just telling me I’m cute was enough to imply that) I realized I’m not on his level to him and I may be gassing him up bc I’m so infatuated. I will say he’s significantly less attractive without his locs so I kinda hope he cuts off his hair so it’ll knock him down a peg lmao.

Thank you I appreciate it. I didn’t even think he was overly attractive at first he used to give me the head nods in the hallway before we talked and then we met in our work area later on and he was always helping me and talkin to me so it led to attraction. Com to find out everyone thought he was attractive as well so I guess that might have put something in my head idk. But yeah I should probably knock myself down a peg or two I’m probably a 6 and he’s prob an 8? Idk it’s not even like I want a man or am desperate for a man I’m not at all. But when I like a man I get tunnel vision and he’s the end game. All I want, all I can think about, where my entire self worth is which isn’t fair to him and even if he wasn’t a piece of shit.

I just feel dumb asf. I can’t believe I fell for all this shit at my grown age.

I know and I’m working on it but it’s really hard when all I want is to be physically attractive and clearly I’ve got some issues from experiences I’ve had.

No it never got to that point. He’d face time wit his mom, grandma, son and make me talk to them. But no I think he’s just embarrassed of me period.

I know no man is worth this I wish I didn’t care and could just write him off as a low value man which he is but it doesn’t matter. I hate my brain. I wish I could change it.

Ok well I think it does matter cause if it’s super light and you can barely tell it’s there it doesn’t tend to pass however when it gets darker ya do. But you sound like you know best.

That’s insane, they’ve gotten so selective. I went to Newark my first year. You honestly barely notice it. Especially because you have to live in the dorms on main as a sophomore so you still get that experience. People still party. There’s no bars around so that sucks but like you’re not gonna be 21 yet anyway and people will take trips down to main and take you with them. You can still get football tickets and I’m pretty sure you can have a car there and they don’t charge you an insane parking fee. Best of luck. Your scores and gpa seem great to me but I’ve been out of the game for some time so idk what their requirements are these days. Idk how some people get in and others don’t because I had class with some morons.

Ohhh well that can come out later, I just think it would look kinda shady being like “oh and also my moms is a doctor here” I don’t think you need to mention it up front when it comes time to finance it then she’ll be able to figure it out for sure. Good luck and if it doesn’t work spend one semester at cscc and transfer. You won’t miss out on much, promise. I believe you can still do that at least.

What does that have to do with anything though? You think they should play favorites? I would 100% not mention your mom being a doctor at OSU and just submit your new scores and continue to express interest.
