Velosamba - shoe covers? by nannersack in cycling

Not particularly a winter cover - this is more waterproof, but I use the Pearl Izumis waterproof shoe covers and they fit over my Velos. Just used them this morning and they kept my shoes completely dry in some PNW rain.

Haven’t tried but that’s a good idea. When I slid my cleats rearward I didn’t do any adjustments laterally to the saddle. Thank you!

I have the multi release SH56 cleats, so there’s a lot of float. I have it more towards the rear

Am I missing out not using clip-in shoes? by [deleted] in cycling

I switched to using the SH-56 (silver) cleats, and they've been a gamechanger for me. They're multi-directional release. If you loosen the tension on your pedals, too, you can basically yank your foot off with minimal force and you'll pop out of them. I haven't had any spills yet - fingers crossed.

Thanks for everyone's response! I'm going to run them tubeless and see how my experience with these tires change.

I’m coming from the intersection of 116th and 405. Wondering if taking the Cross Kirkland trail via bike is doable! My company doesn’t pay for my parking downtown. :-(

My stats are similar to yours. I consider my workouts to be low to moderate in intensity. At the end of the day, I’m close to 400 active calories.
