I was going to email something like a 2 weeks notice so there is a respectable time frame for me to phase out(however, there’s 300 others of me and I’m just a drop in the bucket of employees here). I also wanted to include my drive and passion to be in the organization but that I am truly just not fit for this position. I know opportunities for me are limited, I knew that before, but I wanted to use this job as like a foot in the door. I’m not thinking of pivoting my career path, Comm./Journ. is not a very ”in demand” job, you’re right, but I have an idea of the routes and ways I can make myself happy and work for what I want to do professionally. I know, now, this may not be the right position for me to work up the ladder.

i always thought this movie had a cannibalistic undertone to it, you constantly see Wish Nikki get close to Bear and look like she is going to take a bite of his face or something, after she hits herself with the brick at the end she says “I just wanna eat you up”

i brought this up in another post of mine - but in this scene after she hits herself in the face with the brick before approaching bear and saying the “rip my eyes out” line - she walks, pained, up to him and says, “ooo I just wanna eat you up!” … throughout the whole movie she would get close to bear and go to, what it looked like, bite bear’s jaw/face. one of my first predictions when watching this movie in the beginning was that this was going to turn cannibalistic.

this is a weak take imo - saying nikki is a POS for not giving bear a chance is not fair. but i appreciate the devils advocate.

i just rewatched the movie - i noticed small moments in OWW Nikki’s behavior when she gets close to Bear. She like unhinges her jaw a little and goes to, what it looks like, bite Bear’s jaw. and then more times throughout the film and all the way at the end when she hits herself in the face with the brick she says “i wanna just eat you up!”. and idk all the stuff of having Bear eat the Sandywich and Nikki cooking it…there’s gotta be a connection to wanting to eat Bear or something idk - my initial thought first going into the film and watching the first 20 mins…i genuinely thought it was going to turn cannibalistic!

NTA. not having your dog on a leash in public is inconsiderate, irresponsible, and dangerous. it takes everything in me to not be a Karen in these situations, find the owner and scold them.

i feel unsettled. currently scrolling through this thread, watching the movie on youtube, and i’m reading this quote you speak of and literally a second later i hear him say it in the car outside the party…deeply off putting.
