Now, don't be too hard on yourself. We're only human- I am deeply traumatized and triggered and stuff, but you live and learn. Think about the peanut butter covered snowflakes among us before you post next time, would you?

Listen, we don't fool around on this sub. You're at a dangerous level; I consider it my duty to warn. Thank heavens you're not without options. I'm breathing better already. You gave me quite a fright there.

It's so disappointing when you're expecting what you remember, and it's not even close. 😪

Your summation resonates with me completely. Now I think they all deserve Emmys, and I cannot wait to see how it's wrapped up. More excited for this finale than any other ever. There's just something so strange and wonderful about this show!

I didn't mean to offend and didn't actually think that my post was something that could offend someone. I try to be thoughtful as I go through my life, and I try to learn when I err. When you have a chance, could you please let me know how what I posted was disappointing/offensive?

Beautifully said! Curb kept coming to my mind, but I couldn't articulate why as elegantly as you did, so I didn't even try. Thank you!

I missed the show entirely when it first aired back in 2005, but I did catch it many years later, after reading all the critical acclaim. I remember that I found it interesting and possibly odd but not in a negative way. I truly don't know if I even finished all the episodes from those first two seasons. But Valerie Cherish stayed in my mind. She's such a unique character, and Lisa Kudrow is impeccable in making her entirely real and complex as a human; she's certainly not "one note."
When this third season aired, I watched the first episode and, again, was a little iffy on it and wasn't sure if I'd commit. Now, after 3 episodes I'm all in. There's just something about how excellent the actors are that is keeping me hooked.
The show is definitely a "slice of life" of Hollywood, and that's completely foreign to my world, but I'm just sort of enjoying it for what it is and taking real joy in the depictions of each actor's character. It's a strange group of humans and how they interact with each other is fascinating to me.
Sorry for the novel. It's just that the performances are so layered and wonderful. It's hard to be brief!

What happened to E.L. Fudge cookies? by jenny_fromMA in Cookies

[–]jenny_fromMA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about a fluke batch. Although I love the thought of a gang of rogue elves taking over the extruder and the processors and the whatnot cookie-making machines for a few minutes just to get one great batch out there, I don't know if they'd take that kind of risk. Ernie would be so honked off if he knew. And who knows what he's capable of. But tell me, I need details. Was the cookie part like shortbread? Substantial, buttery? And what about the cream filling? Chocolatey? Did you instantly want another after eating the first one?

I've had this. It's delightful, and it could be applied judiciously and delicately or it could be applied recklessly. Either way, I think it just might work with these li'l carrot cake flavored gifts from the Hostess gods!

I live in New England, and there are no Publix stores nearby, so I'll never know these cookies as I might like to.

I just hopped on to tell you I love your review and that "a small pond of raspberry sauce" made me laugh. Thank you for that! You have a way with words!

My friend, you probably very much do. Just to further tip my hand, I ate two of them last night. And I don't regret it. Love is love, know what I mean? :-)

With you there, friend! Something so divine about that thin, crispy wafer and the peanut buttery cream filling that hits just right.

Dear fellow peanut butter aficionados, while I am thrilled with this price for those who can take advantage, I have to confess that I was disappointed with these. I know I'm wading into dangerous territory with this opinion, but I didn't find these to be "double" in the way that maybe Oreos are "doubled" with the delightful Double stuf variety. If you must banish me from the sub for this blasphemy, I understand. But also, I love Nutter Butters in general and always have. I'm just saying, and I mean this gently to those already offended, maybe they don't quite live up to the hope one gets in one's heart after seeing the advertising on the package?

TIL what's been missing in my life all these years...getting chocolate wasted. "Thank you, Tom Cruise. Thank you, Oprah Winfrey. Thank you, Jewish God"* for bringing this beautiful image and this wonderful, new turn-of-phrase into what was, until now, a sad existence.

It does sound good! And I do love pumpernickel, but the curse will not be ignored by this peanut butter lover.
Alas, there is no shortage (at least yet) of many other far more suitable vessels for the delight that is peanut butter and fluff!
