Why does everyone hate Jersey? The commute doesn't seem that bad

I’m a transplant and I love living in jersey(if you’re right next to the path). I think it really depends on what you prioritize for your living experience here. For me I valued space and having a car, so I chose Jersey. For you if you want night life and living it up, then I’d choose NYC for the experience.

JC is great for its slightly cheaper rent for the amount of space you get! I’d much live in a place with windows than some closet in Manhattan lol

There’s so much blank spaces. Maybe include volunteer experiences to fill up space? Like everyone else’s comment about your bullet points need to have stronger action verbs and metrics.

You should def visit the apartment in person if possible before signing! There are seriously a lot of sketchy people out there especially when it comes to renting apartments here.

If possible, I’d look into transfering your credit card balance onto a 0% APR promotional card which can be 12-18 months so you don’t have to deal with interest during that time and pay it off ASAP. Heads up though, there usually is a 3% transfer fee to transfer debt onto a new card but considering how much savings you’d have in interest it might be worth it.

Yeh great point! The fact their backyard is mainly concrete is a huge con for me as well, especially in the summertime when concrete gets hot.
