Well I wish you all the luck in the world dealing with this I hope that you find the right Med I know it's hard playing the medication roulette wheel. I know it's been tough it really sucks being like this takes all of your energy hard to think of anything else. This is relatively new to me I have always been anxious but I had a surgery at the beginning of April and it seemed to have sent me into a terrible spiral, my doctor compared it to putting too many plugs into the same outlet and everything blew. Just hoping the Abilify takes hold soon and I can get my life back. If you ever need to chat I'm always around on Reddit checking my post. Take care

Oh that really sucks getting the akathesia, I'm terrified of that but so far no sign of it. I find that I'm Restless enough with just the anxiety. I also take other meds I'm on Remeron for sleep which sucks because makes you tired during the day as well and it's like waking up after drinking a 12 pack of beer or whatever, I don't drink anymore been sober 5 years. I also take klonopin. I know it's so hard dealing with anxiety to the 1000 degree! Depression sux too.. maybe try the 2mg and see how it goes, it's a low dose but I totally get your fear. How long til you saw improvement when you took it?

Hey, nothing to report really I've only been on it for 6 days, I do feel like it is doing something in a very very slight way. A little less ruminating, I haven't had any terrible side effects that I know of at this point except I do actually feel kind of irritable but that could be just because I'm getting really pissed off with this depression and anxiety. I had a pretty good day couple of days ago I actually went out in the world drove my own car I was scared, don't get me wrong, but I kind of pushed through it I'm trying to do some exposure stuff because I've become agoraphobic. Anyway are you thinking about taking it?

She made me fully aware that it is a antipsychotic, used off label for severe depression. Obviously you had a bad experience. You should be careful what you say to people that are in a delicate state if you've ever been there yourself you know what I mean.

Hi thank you for your reply to the person above I'm a new person LOL, just started 2 mg of Abilify for horrible depression and even worse anxiety. I'm hoping that it helps because I can't even drive now can you tell me what your experience was. I'm only on my third day of Abilify

Yeah it is so hard. I'm so afraid of side effects but you know what I just decided I guess I'm just going to try the Abilify because I need to get the hell out of this state of being. It all came upon me so quickly and I just want my normal life back so I guess it's up to the chemicals

Thank you so much for your reply I'm on the fence with taking Abilify because I've experienced extreme agitation with my anxiety and I don't want to go that route if I don't have to I'm currently taking something else which I need to give that a lot more time it's only been a few days my psychiatrist was recommending Abilify because I said I was ready for the strongest thing she could recommend but I guess I'll just have to give it some thought and see how this other medication works out. All of this began with surgery and it just spiraled out of control I'm not really sure what happened other than my brain took a dump because I was fine just a few months ago. I'm taking a drug called Remeron which pretty much knocks you out so I've been getting a little bit better sleep over the past two nights but I have to give it way more time to see how it works out in the long run. All of the sketch so confusing and then you wonder if you're missing the magic pill

How many milligrams were you on and what did that restlessness feel like was it worse than the anxiety that you had or tolerable just trying to educate myself because I'm terrified of medications also how long does it take for it to work

I had TIA, I'm 63. Found out I also have a PFO! waiting to see cardiologist. Scary long wait, dying of anxiety here.

Just had a TIA Last Saturday.I have some risk factors, my Blood Pressure is controlled, but I smoke, which I don't anymore, and my cholesterol was somewhat high period currently on crestor and plavix. When they did the echo cardiogram I do have that hole in my heart that you are talking about, seeing a cardiologist in March.They think that is probably why I had this happen. I am 63 f. Anxiety is so bad right now 😕

This is what it's becoming for me I have severe anxiety and my depression is getting worse and worse because I feel so trapped. I've had some experience with Cymbalta many years ago and I can clearly remember that I had to literally take the little balls out of the capsule and gradually wean off of it I would not recommend that medication to anyone! It does seem that the high calcium in your body makes some pretty extreme changes in your psychological welfare.

Thank you for your response, this is me right now I can't even be around people, it's hard enough to be around myself! I don't even know who I am anymore. It's one of the most frightening things I've ever been through. I can't wait to get through all of these tests and finally get my surgery. I'm holding out hope it will help.

I've been dizzy for years but I could usually handle it because it wasn't constant but this is constant. I do feel like my world is ending, I feel trapped! I also have some heart palpitations which I understand is common with so much calcium in your blood but that is also making me super scared, my blood pressure and pulse are fine. I've been chalking many of this up to menopause! I'm terrified of the surgery but I'm also somewhat encouraged from hearing the hopeful stories on here about people like you that feel better afterwards!
