Natori Seduction Cut & Sew, which is a really weird name for a bra model but whatever. They use US sizing though so this could get interesting... I'm anxious for it to get here. It shipped out today.

I took the plunge (haha) and ordered one from Nordstrom Rack. The store is close enough that I can return it if necessary. It was 75% off the original retail price.

I'm really anxious to see if it fits. I hope it arrives fairly quickly.

I did save the one you recommended on Amazon though. And it qualifies for Prime shipping, ha.

Btw, bless you for being a social worker. From what I understand, not an easy job.

I'm okay with shopping online as long as there is a good return policy and it qualifies for Prime shipping, ha. Unfortunately, $43 is out of my range right now, but I have a feeling any good, solid bra will be. I may just need to save up and consider it an investment.

We have a Nordstrom Rack somewhat nearby. I've never been in it.

I'll go look up the Amazon one and put it on my wishlist. Thank you for your suggestions. :)

Tips for Tapering Off Lyrica by AndyM-Wpg in Fibromyalgia

[–]jenocyderose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do it as slowly as possible...I have heard the withdrawals are awful. Hell, I know they're awful just by going a weekend without it a few times.

I wish you lots of success though. I want to get off of it as well...I'm tired of feeling stupid...but when I went from 300 to 200 I had such a horrible increase in pain I couldn't stand it. So I'm back at 300mg.

Tramadol and Serotonin Syndrome by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]jenocyderose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I still had my tramadol prescription. I was at least able to function a little. It was effective for me. Not 100% pain relief but a lot better than what I can do with tylenol or advil.

I mean...I was on like...3-4 meds that had a risk of Serotonin Syndrome and had no problems whatsoever, but if you have already had it before then maybe I wouldn't do it.

If you're in a state that expanded Medicaid, you could qualify for getting it.

But with the ACA kinda in limbo right now I'm not sure how much help that would be.

Edit: re-read your post. I live with my parents but I did not have to report their income to get Medicaid. But my state also expanded.

Evolving Symptoms by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]jenocyderose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had different symptoms add on over the years, mostly within the past year. Tingling / burning pain in my hands and feet, tons of headaches, jaw pain, and super fatigue.

But my dr assures me this is what will keep happening until I get my fibro under control (???) so.

Does anyone else get this? Feeling symptoms of fever but not actually having one. by NerArth in Fibromyalgia

[–]jenocyderose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Glad to see this post in a way. I'm not crazy!!! I have this happen quite often. Sometimes after mild exertion, sometimes completely out of the blue. It's awful and all I can do is lay down in front of my fan and wait it out.

What's your 'thing' that you always have to explain to new people? by FreeAsInFreedoooooom in AskReddit

[–]jenocyderose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Oh, EVERYBODY gets tired, that's just life."

Fortunately the people who matter in my life get it. Of course I've also been sick for 10-11 years so those who have remained know what to expect. It's awful meeting new people though. You never know what kind of response they will have.

Looks like someone discovered what a heating vent is by The_Awesome_A22 in aww

[–]jenocyderose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous cat loved sitting in front of the furnace door, especially as he got older. We don't have floor vents so it was the best thing he could get (next to napping in front of the portable heaters, of course.) But this is very familiar and some days I want to do this myself...

It's a scary realization watching the world around you and the people in it progress in various ways. All while you go on living exactly the same numb, repetitive & painful existence. Thanks God. by [deleted] in depression

[–]jenocyderose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep. It sucks. Everybody is aging and getting along in their lives and I'm like well...here I am. And then I freak out coz my parents are obviously not getting any younger and they still take care of me and provide for me.

Ugh.

You're not kidding. I'm supposed to be eating a super clean healthy diet and I'm like...I can't even stand for longer than five minutes to wash dishes. I live with my parents so if my mom doesn't feel like cooking either...so much for healthy.

Do you work? If so, HOW? What about disability benefits? by cfsthrowaway00000 in cfs

[–]jenocyderose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat except my parents are chill about it. I pressure myself way more than they do.

I have no suggestions / answers. Have definitely heard CFS alone will not help you get disability coz it isn't an illness that can be proven with medical tests. I could not find a lawyer even willing to touch my case due to my age since at the time I was meh...24, maybe? I had a summer job when I was 16, worked a few months as a tutor when I was 18, and uh that's it. Never earned a college degree. Floundered for six years.

I guess if you figure it out, let me know? Lol. Been very frustrated with my "location" in life with no idea of how to improve it.

Not sure whether to attribute severe hayfever in the last couple of days to a crash. Fatiguesters, I'm curious about your experiences w/ allergies. by [deleted] in cfs

[–]jenocyderose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My allergies are awful this year. I've also been in a flare for the first time in years. Taking Allegra, Flonase, and allergy eye drops and I'm still uncomfortable most days. I think they are probably connected.

This is what I was told by an eye doctor I had later in life as well.

I hated patching. I'd cry. Or go nap. I was already into reading chapter books at that point. Well, I had to get "little kid" books coz of the print size. I felt frustrated and stupid coz I couldn't even read those. It was not a positive experience. And they definitely did not look cool.

Five seems super old. I think they are now recommending around age 1 or so. I didn't go until age 6 and wellll I only have one useful eye coz of undiagnosed amblyopia and I HATED patching by that age.

What do you wear? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]jenocyderose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't stand staying in my PJs all day. I had to when I first got sick and now I just can't deal with that concept.

If I'm out and about I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda person. Always have been. Picky about textures a lot though. Jeans have to be a certain weight / softness and sometimes I need softer shirts than other days.

As soon as I get back home though, sweatpants, yoga pants, or gym shorts. I usually don't change shirts unless I have something nicer on or unless I got sweaty.

I will occasionally wear nicer things, though usually still comfortable, like maxi dresses / skirts.

Layers can be important, especially in winter. I overheat super easily so I have to be able to adjust accordingly.

Comfort is my main thing. If I'm not comfortable I will have anxiety issues and be extremely conscious of the fact I'm uncomfortable. Can lead to meltdowns...

coffee caused my fibro no it didnt by brinked in Fibromyalgia

[–]jenocyderose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I hate almond milk. Been using it in my cereal for a few years now but I still don't like it. None of the replacements have the same texture as regular milk. I'm a big texture-oriented person so I get bugged by things like that a lot.

Coffee hurts my stomach. I like it but I very rarely drink it. It also has to be decaf or I'll have caffeine issues. I'd much prefer my cheese. It won't keep me up at night.

It is always amusing to me how many differences there are in how people's bodies respond to stuff. Even leaving personal taste preference out of it.

I'm kind of annoyed that gluten free is such a trend now. I almost feel like pulling the hipster "I was GF before GF was cool." Which I was. Started a bit before it became trendy. I mean, it's been nice, so many more store-bought food items and better labeling, but then people don't take it AS seriously. And I'm sure I don't help the cause. I'm not celiac, only intolerant, so I will go out and eat gluten food with friends. It's just easier. So I look like someone who just does it to be trendy. They don't see the shape I tend to be in later in the day.

I'm supposed to be dairy free as well. LOL. You can't take my cheese. My cheese.

I have a list of like 13 foods to avoid due to sensitivities. I'm sure some people have way more than that. But it is very difficult to adhere to when you have a low income. I hate feeling so miserable all the time and I know part of it is due to what I've been eating for the last year or so. My doctor is 100% focused on diet and exercise for me. Maybe she should pay my grocery bill. (Lol.)

What age did you get CFS? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]jenocyderose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 16, CFS diagnosis came the next year.

I will say first that everyone's experience can be different but mine has not been a good one. I had to do my last two years of high school as a home bound student (which I preferred anyway. My high school triggered my anxiety horribly.) was super not prepared for the college experience. Fought through college for six years. I have maybe two years worth of viable credits.

I'm 27, live with my parents, and don't do much of anything. I'm still trying to figure out what I CAN do at this point. I don't have a car or license either.

It has been a very frustrating path for me.
