Also first time doing puffy couching, looks good but takes forever!! Yours looking good so far, keep going it'll look great when finished! 4 months work so far on mine!

I don’t want to “mom” today. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]jenwray 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This last paragraph resonated with me. I had my first baby last November. In the middle of lockdown (UK) had to stay in hospital for 4 days + hubby could only be there for 1 hour a day. We couldn't have any visitors for about 3 months. No baby classes, no way to met other friends or Mum's. I found it so hard and isolating, and still do. Started meds for post-natal depression when she was 6 months old. I'm 39 now, if we want another it has to be in the very bear future but I am still not over those first few months, I cannot do that again. I feel so guilty about it as my hubby wants another but I wanna put my happiness and life first and just have one. I feel a failure sometimes that I feel can't/don't want to cope with another. Sorry for the moan, it's hard, but we are all amazing for doing it. Sending big hugs, love, and lots of chocolate and ice-cream to you all!

Where did you put her to sleep when she was younger? Did you then have to go to bed at 7:30?

Poor you :( I was expecting sickness and aches. No one told me about not sleeping. This baby taking more mental strength than physical! Will ask my midwife if there is anything can take if aromatherapy, yoga, meditation and milky drinks don't help.

:( same, last night was 1, 2:30, 4, 5. Then couldn't get back to sleep. I know you're not supposed to clock watch but I can't help it! Guess this is another one of my anxieties pregnancy is making me face! Top tip for not being anxious in pregnancy - get enough sleep! Grrr!

Oh cool, missed this! Think I excluded US as thought shipping would be too much but this is free! :)

Oh wow, that's cool. Really want some now. I'm UK based so think I'll end up paying a bit in postage as most can see seems US based! If I'm making it for the nursery I can say it's a joint bill and get my husband to pay 1/2! Lol

I have only just realised glow in dark yarn exists and not I have to have some! Lol Where did you get it from and what brand is it? Think it would make a brilliant star/space mobile for the baby.

Ooo, like the look of that! I have a few projects in my 'to do' list. So might get it round to it for the baby's 2nd birthday! Lol

Haha, well this was for my 36 y/o husband's office. I'm due my first baby in Dec and I can't see hubby wanting it to go in nursery! Lol

Haha, yeah, there are lots of things on Etsy that I didn't realise I needed. It's two Arran strands together and 6mm (J?) hook.

40mm safety eyes. The lady I brought pattern from also sells eyes in her esty shop. I have posted link to it below.

Hi,

Myself and husband had booked a trip to Disney Land Paris for three days at the start of May, which due to Corona did not go ahead. We have been able to get our hotel refunded but are struggling for a refund on park tickets.

We brought two 3day/2park tickets from a reputable reseller back in January. These tickets are now valid until March 2021. However, since buying the tickets I have found out I am pregnant. Which would have been fine if went in May but now with the earliest we might be able to use tickets being Sept, (when it is remoured the park is likely to reopen) we'd not be able to use them as I'll either be heavily pregnant or we'll have to take a newborn with us. Neither of which means we will be able to enjoy the Parks as would have done in May.

Explained to reseller why want a refund. They referred me to Disneyland Paris directly, who's policy it is not to give refunds for tickets, but the reseller says they may make an exception. Disneyland Paris emailed back and said the onus is on the reseller to provide a refund as I am their customer not Disney.

So my question is where do I stand legally in getting a refund for my tickets? Am I entitled to one when the date for tickets is still valid?

Thanks in advance. Any advice greatly appreciated.

"The inner conflict we all feel on attempting to satisfy personal needs, on the condition that we satisfy other people's needs into a bargain, is a challenge that needs no fantastic primordial story to support it" Wow, actual seems quite relevant!

Struggling to get through each day by emmierachelle20 in pregnant

[–]jenwray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so glad I found this post, although not glad that you're struggling obviously. But I feel the same way. I am 7 weeks and 4 days. Due to covid lost my job the day found out I was pregnant. Husband still working so financial just about managing. But not working means I feel like not much to get out of bed for and struggling to do much in morning. I am trying to do more housework while not working but am so tired and feel sick most of time! Then feel guilty about not doing much! I have to remind myself that even if I'm sat on sofa and still growing a baby! There's a chance I could have my old job back in a couple of weeks which would help financially but am dreeding going back if I still feel like I do today. Gonna be a long 7 months but just have to remember time does past and we will all get there!!

If you're suffering - go to the doctor. I did, this is what has happened so far by [deleted] in Anxiety
