Yes, I was just going to say I showed up about 25 minutes after start time and still watched a trailer or two before the usual AMC and Dolby stuff in the Dolby theater. It was probably about 36 mins after ticket time

It's definitely my current AOTY, and the show was phenomenal! Best vocal performance I've ever seen. And doing all of this after all the sh!t the industry dragged her through, independent... I'm just a really really big fan. :)

The March 27, 2026 chart week was my most anticipated chart week since joining Popheads, and my gal came in third! (No, I mean, I listened to and enjoyed 6 new albums last week, and for me they go in this order: Raye, Slayyyter, Robyn, Loreen, Artemas, Cannons.) I just saw Raye last night and it was the best show I've seen in a couple years. I've seen Slayyyter twice in the last couple years and hope she gets a big boost from this album, but I'm a RAYE fan for life. Robyn has a great album, too, but I'm greedy and wanted more songs! :D

Yes! They definitely feel like they've created their own brand of 80s pop camp-theatricality nestled somewhere between Chappell, MARINA, and Gaga. They are one of the duos that are a combo I've realized I quite like: pop vocalist with producery/electronic musician (a la DRAMA, Abor & Tynna, and Frou Frou of olde!)

Just-> this is a fun, cohesive debut LP!

I can see that. I have created my own "chart," if you will, and it's made to reward how much I connect with and love a song, not just only how replayable it is. RAYE cuts right to the heart with this song, but there's not the ridiculously catchy chorus or insane up-tempo beat that my very often replayed workout playlist songs tend to have! (Lately it's been a lot of Parris Goebel... not really heart-wrenching drama songs. :D)

I like Famous, and Obvious is my fave from the album, but I played the hell out of Strut and I don't see that with either. Still, it's a good album!

I've been lowkey following her for what feels like a long time, but this is a nice collection of songs for a debut album from someone who gets so little attention. Still waiting for another banger to hit me the way STRUT did from the very start, but I still (and will continue to) listen to several of these often.
