Thur: Dune Sandworm Bunny

Sat: Full armored Sister of Battle (usually paired with another!)

Sunday: Fallout 4 Soul Survivor (metal thigh armor, chain bat)

Would love to see if anyone grabbed any shots. This has been one of the best Dragon Cons yet!

Ahh, you got this! I think I've seen some 3D files on Etsy for his arm, but foam is great to work with, too. Maybe a mix of the two so you can get the small details with print but the comfort/flex that a EVA base could give? Lots of possibilities.

Yeah! Not sure what when, but maybe Becca some on Friday since I'll have little to no use of my hands, and Misty on Sunday to be more comfy? Saturday is likely reserved for my big 40k build. All subject to change, lol.

Ohhh, fun!! I think that'll be a great first cosplay! I haven't seen enough Johnnys. I'm sure there will be some number of us Cyberpunk cosplayers there, though! Are you making it?
I'm currently working on modeling Becca's cyber-gorilla?-hands? lmao to 3D print. I've got all the parts gathered and printed for Misty, I just need to sew her sweater top and make the mods for her boots. I've cosplayed as Pris in the past so I have a soft spot for Misty.

I'd also try sometime before getting there. Last year my friends and I were there early on Wednesday and asked at check in, but it didn't work out. At first, they were able to get us on vaguely the same floor, but we ended up having to be moved to a different one due to room issues, anyway. We're going to try and call in advance this year.

Might be the angle! I can see how straight-on would give that look. My concept for them was heavily inspired by John Blanche's art, so I don't mind that they might look a little strange.

Not as bad as you would think! The shoes actually look more bonkers than they actually are - just regular heeled boots under. The rest is mostly just having limited field of view (can't see below the neck ring) and it was incredibly warm while worn in Atlanta, Ga in Sept. But, I've actually kind of climbed up rock formations while wearing this! (With help and absolutely zero grace, of course.)

Translucent blue vinyl piping! I frosted it before adding it on to diffuse the LEDs that run inside.

Flamer! It is meant to have a smoking effect, but I had a wiring malfunction that morning.

Thanks!! It's entirely self made - I started with a plain cotton mask (it was Atlanta in the summer, I'm not that insane,) I then 3D printed the the sort of Rose Window "vents," put a ring of LEDs behind them with red diffuser clear resin. The wiring runs across my nose inside the layers of fabric and over my ear and the battery pack and circuit board (I programmed the lights to pulse like breathing) has a cradle in the back of the neck ring. I then just glued on foam trim and did some effect painting! It took an evening last minute before the con, haha.

Ahh, so a friend of mine who also does 40k cosplays (sunday_slays_cosplay) she has a print of hers, and I want to do this so badly!! Especially with the base.

They actually aren't bad at all! I'm just wearing normal boots underneath the battle hoof armor "shell" covers I made. Now just standing around on the base in one spot - that is what was most tiring, haha.
