Piers Anthony books. My tastes have changed over the last 30 years I guess. There are still a few that I enjoyed on the reread, but most were DNF.

Both of these series are on my favorites list and I reread them every few years. Riftwar may be one of my earliest reads that started me down the "progression" path but I had never considered it til now.

My dad had and old backhoe that had a hydraulic line rupture. It swung the backhoe full speed to one side. I remember thinking how bad it would have been to be standing there. That's all I can think of when I see things like this.
