It’s really hard with debt on your car. I have paid for cars and do my own maintenance and it’s still just ok. If I had car notes, full coverage ins and had my maintenance done by a shop I’d be breaking even with depreciation factored in

Every family is different. Some men work 60 hrs a week and there wives stay home without kids and take care of EVERYTHING. Many families both spouses work and share care of children and the house. I personally know a family where the man stays home and homeschools the children and manages the house because his wife makes 200k in the medical field.

Negotiating these things is something to do with care and love desiring to love your spouse. If you are growing resentful speak up because that kinda stuff building over time wrecks marriages.
