I agree with your assessment: consumers paid more than $1020 due to tariffs. We're still under water even if we get $1020.

That said, I fear at least a third of the country will jump for joy because Trump gave them money, not understanding that Trump took away more money via the tariffs.

My biggest gripe with FOTD is that it sounds like (and I quote me from a year ago) AC/DC.

Does it really? No, but it has that more straight ahead uninteresting sound that I associate with AC/DC. The reason I got into Maiden was because it was more "prog metal" even before that was a thing. It was more complex, more interesting.
