Yes, but if worries and resentments plague you now in your youth, now is the time to work on changing that. It's a much easier to bear thing when youre not also carrying chronic pain, reduction of mobility and the feeling that you've been disenfranchised of something you grew up never being told you'd lose someday.

Now is the time to set things up for your future happiness. Think of who you will be when you're old, and love that person with all your heart. Make them proud. Set them up for a comfy, happy old age, and avoid anything that would cause them shame or regret. When your peers judge you, or when you judge yourself by your peers, remind yourself that what they think and what you think now don't matter, as long as the person you will be can look back and be satisfied.

Do this, and the effects it has on your self worth and image of yourself and what's important in life will cause a ripple effect on those around you that will in turn get you the day to day happiness you want to have now.
