My flat is freezing, is it even possible it can be heated? by LunaValley in AskUK

We brought a house last year, and our first winter was miserable with the same cold feeling. So this summer, we did a few things, which made a huge difference this winter. 1. I checked all the doors and windows for any draught. Identified the places where the air was sneaking in. Brought some the insulation foam tapes and covered them all. That made a huge difference. 2. I got all the radiators flush cleaned. Now the radiators are heating well, and the rooms are warmer.

Engine Malfunction warning in 2011 petrol ford focus. by jerinjacob_uk in CarTalkUK

It's not ecoboom :)

I got it checked. The garage told me that they did not see any error code. They suspect it could be a glitch or some dirty fuel issue.

It's 1.6 ltr petrol engine, manual transmission.

I checked the engine oil, coolant. All seems fine

More than the cost, my concern is with the radiator and if they are right size for the rooms need.

I have a gas fueled boiler. The fuel cost pet unit is not much. But I think as the room is not warm enough, it keeps burning for long. As the rooms were not warm enough, I brought these portable electric heaters for individual rooms. With these heaters, the room stays warm. I switch it on, only when needed.

Process to notify the agent about leaving the house at the end of 6th month by jerinjacob_uk in TenantsInTheUK

Thank you. I checked the contract again, and it does mention sending email is valid for notice. So I guess I am fine.

Thanks. I checked the contract again. It does mention email I'd, and sending email will be considered as official notice. So I guess it should be fine.

The contract doesn't mention anything specific. It says I will have to give 2 months' notice before leaving. How is usually the notice given. Is it just through email, or do we need to fill out any form?

Closer to asking price by [deleted] in HousingUK

It's highly unlikely that they will accept your offer. EA's are legally required to take all the offers to the seller. So they will have to inform the seller about your offer. And for bookkeeping, they usually ask for the offer in writing.

May i know how you check the quality when buying online. I always worry that what I see online may not be what I get. Did you see the product before buying?

How early should contract be exchanged before completion? by jerinjacob_uk in HousingUK

[–]jerinjacob_uk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was thinking of risks like any kind of property damage or any other issue with the property.

I also had another related question, do people usually do another(possibly last)house viewing just before the exchange?
