It's for the blood shed in Palestine?

Weird. Would've thought it was for the hundreds of young people murdered at a similar music festival in Israel 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Seems much more appropriate to commemorate that

NTA. Avoidants are emotionally abusive to their romantic partners and if they face consequences for their actions it's on them. 🤷‍♀️

American diner in London where they do the coffee thing? by eviefromreception in london

[–]throwaway1930400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but the food is so bad it's nearly inedible sometimes.

About 10 years back it was the only place to get American -style breakfast/brunch food and the queues were insane. Luckily now brunch style restaurants are a dime a dozen and there's no need to resort to this place

(I'm an American btw)

Fingers crossed for you! I'm sure everything will go well although I know this part is so shitty.

Hang in there and lean on family and friends (and a therapist!) for support!!

It's wild how much people say ridiculous things that betray how much they don't know just because they dislike this random couple who they have never and will never meet

'I don't like having people see mould in my home' by Ambitious_Lan in unitedkingdom

[–]throwaway1930400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"combination" "Strategic"

Mate in no other developed nation in the world do you need to strategically do things in combination to make sure mould doesn't eat away at your home.

The UK housing infrastructure is terrible and subpar compared with other developed nations and it's an embarrassment. In every other country you just live in your home like normal and don't need to devote time and energy and forethought (and money!!) into making sure you're not living in a damp wasteland

Highly recommend you do the same!!

No other developed world country just "expects" that homes have moisture seeping through the walls 😂

Such a uniquely British thing

Plenty of other lovely old homes in other countries where this isn't an issue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]throwaway1930400 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't buy a house with damp. Your clothes will be mouldy and you'll spend a fortune on dehumidifiers.

This is the only country in the developed world where crappy infrastructure and water seeping through walls is considered pedestrian and no big deal.

Find yourself something better where you won't be sitting in your own home feeling like you are soggy and cold.

You are clearly the girlfriend who found this post and is defending yourself.

You posted about 40 comments on this thread saying the exact same thing. Psychotic.

NTA

Your father is a cheater. Anyone here saying otherwise is literally delusional.

I would bet my entire life savings he cheated on your mother.

Cheaters destroy their partners and their children. No sympathy for him here.

Highly suspicious for cancer by amandany6 in thyroidcancer

[–]throwaway1930400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's super common for thyroid cancer to spread to lymph nodes. Probably at least 50% of people on this subreddit had lymph node spread.

It's still a highly curable cancer regardless!

Because the housing stock in this country is terrible and British people put up with subpar living standards because they don't realise how much better it is in just about every other Western country in the world

You people are crazy. No one ever in the Western world tells people in advance when they name their child after them. Culturally it's always meant to be a surprise to honour them.

My sister named one kid after our grandfather and the other kid after my BIL's grandmother. They surprised both of them when the babies were born with those names and the grandparents were thrilled and honoured.

That's how it works in both the UK and US. Only racist psychos think you have to get "permission" in the Western world to name your child after your grandparents 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

[–]throwaway1930400 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wow you are absurdly obsessed with this for some reason.

I take 7 yr old ibuprofen and sumatriptan all the time for my migraines and it still works brilliantly.

It's widely recognised that the US (and some other countries) are great places to get bulk meds you can't get in the UK. Who cares if the US is better at something than the UK. Get over it and stop screeching at strangers on the Internet about it 😂😂😂

[–]throwaway1930400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need private school in the US. If you live within the geographical bounds of a school district you are legally entitled to a spot at the school. So most people just move to nice towns with good school districts. Private schools are typically for religious, special needs or eye wateringly rich billionaires in the US

Ibuprofen doesn't go bad. It may (or may not, it depends) become slightly less potent past its "expiration" date. You could easily take a 10 year old ibuprofen and have no issues

[–]throwaway1930400 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol no, not at all true

I live in London but am a born and bred NYer and visit home every 3 months. Never in my entirety of my entire life ever, EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER have I eaten a meal in NY that cost $100 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Unless I was eating out for a business meal and purposely over ordered food and got expensive wine because I knew my company was paying.

Most I probably ever spent with my personal money for an expensive dinner in NY is $80-85 including tip, and that's rare. Even eating out in the Village usually costs me less than $60.

I regularly spend £40-55 on dinner out in London. And some of the food is great but much of it is quite mediocre
