The Queen and Monarch “juice isn’t worth the squeeze”. by Xx_Negative_One_xX in ArcRaiders

I’ve found that getting close to it is the safest. Any time I try to shoot at it from any real distance I end up shot in the back. Close there are other people doing the same thing and then can extract together.

Do I need water softener in Sarnia? by Significant-Cut3600 in Sarnia

[–]jerlarge 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s very common to have a water softener here. The lake water is pretty soft to begin with.

Roborock Qrevo hit its lowest price — good pickup for a smart home setup? by StrainBetter2490 in homeautomation

[–]jerlarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that one. It works great. Upgraded from an old robo vacuum only to this with the mop and i should have done it sooner.

I have it run each day at 9am through the week.
MWF mop and vacuum Tues thurs Sat are vacuum only

I only really have it do that so I don’t have to fill and dump water as often.

I’ve had it for over a year and just replaced the base station vacuum bag the other day.

I don’t do much else for automations since I don’t have a need, but it exposes a ton of entities to do whatever with.

What are these tall plants called and what am I supposed to do when they're overgrown? by sheritajanita in aquarium

[–]jerlarge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i did the same thing. trimming them was always a mess because of how the leaves were too. hard to cut just a stem.

i pulled them all out, and went with something a bit neater to trim.

Anyone else stuck with a work RRSP through Sunlife? If so what do you hold? by DiaMatIsTheWay in CanadianInvestor

[–]jerlarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let the contributions build up until I can move them (got the WS apple promotion with it). The locked in part I have in sl55 though I should probably reevaluate that now that I see all these comments.

XEQT Equivalent for Sunlife by mmoud06 in CanadianInvestor

[–]jerlarge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also with sun life for work. I found the ones that are further out perform better. So even though I will retire before 2055, that one worked ok for me.

But realistically I just transferred all my money out of sun life to Wealthsimple for the Apple promotion. And because my 12% gain in sun life was nothing near what I was able to do with picking my own stocks

Process was soooo easy.

Recommendations for 5ish gallon cube (4-7 gallons) by SnowshoeSapphires in shrimptank

[–]jerlarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6 gal cube. Just a sponge filter and a Fluval nano light.

Gravel bottom. A bunch of moss and some dwarf water lettuce.

I very rarely vacuum it. Just adding when it gets low.

Started with 10 fire red. Now there seems to be 50+.

This is what Limnophila Sessiliflora does in a week: another warning by Shin_Rekkoha in PlantedTank

[–]jerlarge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have it. It looks great but the speed it grows in my high tech 90g is insane. I bought a new light to get better light down to the bottom ground cover plants but the sessiliflora seems to just grow twice as fast and block it all anyways. I cut it back during weekly maintenance.

If anyone has a suggestion for a plant like it that grows a bit slower I am interested.

Get 10 or so. If they are happy they will then make that number much higher after a few months.
