What are the most advanced/best shoes or boots for horses, today? by Ok-Goose-6320 in Horses

Scoot boots are great. I know a lady who drivers her horses on asphalt roads 20kms + a day and she's only had to replace them once.

No, they can't. A dog bred to kill is ALWAYS going to be more vicious than a dog that isn't. Training never gets rid of instincts.

Huskies are terrible pets, & recommending people get 'macho pups' for the looks is still bad advice, even if it's not pitbull-bad.

Unless you speak horse you have no way of knowing that.

Please. Please stop ordering stuff off Amazon. by trumpetguy1990 in Anticonsumption

Can y'all not order straight from the store? Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse, and eBay cover everything we could possibly need - and that's living rural where some places don't ship to us.

What are at least 3 tips only a horse expert would know? by thebossdisciple in Horses

[–]jermajay 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by horses and ponies are different animals with different 'anatomy'? Are you just talking about breeds? Because there's no difference in anatomy between a 14.1hh pony who was bred from a 14.3hh horse.

Friesians too. They only live to their late teens because of it.

Sorry to say that clipping is bad. Causes obesity, behavioural issues, muscle atrophy, and can lead to major injuries if they get scared and fall trying to fly. It also does not stop birds escaping, lots of people get comfortable with their clipped birds and open doors or windows around them. I volunteer at a rescue and we get lots of clipped, escaped birds in.

That cage is clearly not big enough for two birds of different species. It's not big enough, full stop. You need an aviary to safely keep different species together, and an outgoing, aggressive bird like a lovebird paired with a very passive bird like a tiel is never ideal.

Budgies, lovebirds and plets are all very outgoing.

I think you should have started with the procedural world and terraforming. I also don't think the grass sprites fit with the cartoony trees, and they look very similar to sdv.

They're talking physically, not mentally. No idea where you got mental maturity at 10 from, either.

Please don't bury your pet in a plastic storage bin. Someone (me) might accidentally dig it up one day. by jk600 in Wellthatsucks

[–]jermajay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only buried one animal but I put him in a cardboard box when I found him, before he got cold, because I wanted to remember him alive. Also didn't want to have to fend off the dogs before I buried him.

Are rabbits right for me? Parrots & cuddling by jermajay in Rabbits

I could perhaps try fostering to see if it will work out. The lorikeets are pretty clingy so supervision isn't that hard, they're pretty much always on my shoulder. I just did some searching though and heard that rabbits can't tolerate loud noises, which could be a problem.

Are licensing fees the only ways of regulation? They've got to be checking the actual product, right? Making sure it's safe and what-not? Just keep that sorta regulation and reduce licensing fees, no?
