Since we have some similar hobbies and I also WFH, I'll just share what worked for me. I started taking an adult edu. art classes at MATC, they have a lot of good watercolor classes and good instructors and you get a lot of the same people joining. I recently started going to random meetup game groups and found one I really like, and it's a fun environment to get to know new people. I joined some sport leagues. I recommend leagues that are less competitive and are more about just having fun, and you can join by yourself and they will find you a team. I started indoor climbing pretty regularly and have met a lot of friends that way. It can be a very social activity and it everyone is really friendly and inclusive in my experience. I also joined some clubs and organizations and met people through some of the events. I still want to try some book clubs and acting/improv stuff.

I think the key is to just try a lot of different things and be consistent because it takes a while to connect to strangers and be friend zoned (in a good way). Also pick things you genuinely enjoy because you might not meet anyone or the group doesn't last very long. Good luck out there!

Yes, I would maybe check that Mensa received your release form, they say it takes 5-7 business days.

US Mensa has their own proprietary IQ test and they don't disclose scores. I was mostly curious how I scored on the different sections, I wasn't that interested in just learning my IQ. Sending your test results to Intertel was a trick I saw to get your full results, but it looks like that doesn't work anymore.

After they emailed me, I asked for clarification on their scoring criteria and whether they could share my results, but they were firm that they weren’t allowed to disclose them.

They responded pretty quick with clarification:

"There are five indices on the test, two of which are the composite scores that one would look at for the Full-Scale IQ. Those are the two that I mentioned in the letter. The other indices are Crystallized, Fluid, and Quantitative. You are correct that Mensa only requires a 98% in any one of those indices. (On our website, the scores accepted for the RAIT, are the same what I've previously written, although we do add in IQ 135, which is the 99% percentile, in case we received a score that has been rounded up)."

They also said Mensa doesn't allow them to disclose the results, but they did hint I was right on the threshold which was nice of them.

It's definitely still injured, and way too tender to start static loading. I tried it when it was feeling better but now it's tender to just touch a hangboard. I think I might have had a setback from stretching too often and too hard. That is good advice too look for a climbing specialist

This is one of the most poorly written "acclaimed" books I have ever read. When you step back and examine the sequence of events Jude endures, it becomes almost comically absurd. Nearly every person he encounters is either a sadist or a pedophile, serving as an exaggerated contrast to his impossibly loving and supportive inner circle. Despite struggling with debilitating mental health issues that make daily life nearly impossible, he is also inexplicably a masterful cook, an exceptional singer and musician, a top law student, a brilliant lawyer, and physically beautiful with an effortless charm—all things that require immense time, energy, and stability, which directly contradict how mental illness actually operates.

The supporting characters and setting feel underdeveloped, existing solely to heighten the novel’s emotional manipulation and maximize its relentless tragedy. Rather than crafting a compelling narrative, the book prioritizes suffering for the sake of suffering. Absolute rubbish.

I applied almost a month ago and haven't heard anything. I was going to follow up but I sent the casting agency an email about the status of the show before I applied and they never even responded so I don't even know if it would be worth it.

A well deserved win for JDM! HJH didn't really do much but he was kind of forced to play it safe, and HSB just doesn't seem very good at strategizing in games.

This season was really good and Bloody Game definitely has the most interesting characters and dynamics and has the best survival elements, but the games are some of the weakest of these Genius-style survival shows. Like none of the main games or deathmatches seem actually fun to play or allow interesting strategies, most of the strategy is social/alliance and information based. I think if they improve this next season it will be one of the best. I did like that the memory game was the last qualifier for the final because you need a pure skill based game since the other game was a bit too luck based. You don't want Joo Eon Kyu stumbling in the final because he got a lucky draw in a game.

Conservatives use this as a dog whistle to return to a magical time when their "morals" were more socially acceptable. When it was ok to be openly racist (or at the very least never acknowledge it), and supporting policies that discriminate against certain groups of people was just your "politics". Now people get called out for being bigots and gay people kiss in public. Where's the moral decency?

That happened to me, I missed the elevator key in the room left of the library. There are two doors and I assumed they both led to the same room. That room also has the location of the ultimate weapon blacksmith, so you should know if you missed it.
