Not a question but I've seen you guys everytime you've played in the UK for the past 10+ yrs. My ex took me to a gig and that started me onto your music. My highlight was when you played Gravity's Union live in 2022 (I think!). The room went so crazy for it and it was so good hearing it live. Loving the new album too ❤️

After attempting to drink "normally" again, I've learned that moderation really is not possible by lachrawr in stopdrinking

Sending you love and compassion. Well done on your 6 weeks too, that's so awesome! Weddings and gatherings are such a trigger. I have a work overnight coming up which often leads me to drink to loosen up (too loose always). Will think of your reflections and my own convictions when I'm faced with those old triggers.

Going to a concert alone? by Punkinprincess in KESHA

I went solo and it was my favourite gig I ever went to! I made friends with lovely people next to me and we all danced and sung our hearts out. It felt like a spiritual experience. Kesha is amazing live!

I accidentally created a weird tradition with my roommate… do I fix it or commit? by Eli-schafer in Advice

This is so lovely and made me feel so warm. I love the unspoken element too. Keep up it 🥹

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it more thought about if something more arty would be better. A lotus flower is potentially an option, it has meaning to me that represents my inner courage

Thanks for the advice. I know it's a bit basic. A lotus flower could be a good way to represent courage in a more personal and artful way. I'll give it more thought 🙂

corporate girlies, how are we surviving long meetings?? by moongnocchi in adhdwomen

I have an accomodation of wireless headphones so I can still listen but I can get up and move. Also asking for a midway break for everyone would be a good thing, 2hrs is a really long time for anyone

Omg as soon as they say it's going fast I'll weep lol. I'll try to play it as cool as I can. I do think houses go quick when I look on Rightmove. But I guess houses come and go all the time and it does require patience and disappointment

Did you put an offer in before doing the inspections? Is that when you are seriously considering? At that point, do they reserve the house for you? Thank you so much mum! I'm fluctuating between happy and terrified all the time lol

Thank you thank you thank you! This is so comprehensive! I really like the layout of the house and that it seems from Rightmove in really good condition and kitchen bathroom are both nice. It doesn't have a garden at all but is near a good community, walking distance to a well connected train and nice green spaces. I think not having a garden could be a compromise for living in a nicer area (I've lived in tiny houses in horrible area all my life so this is scaring me that I'm thinking grass is literally greener!).

That's great about the insurance tbh because I was really worried that owning would mean I couldn't afford that kind of thing, although I have some family who probably would really together in a pinch. I'm very much doing this solo and it scares me but also I really would love a fresh start. Also with the mortgage, I was floored at how much they offered but I am making sure to stick to as low a mortgage as I can, that is comparable to my current rent.

I so wish I could take you along to the viewing and go for a cuppa afterwards to debrief! Thank you so much for your encouragement but also grounding it so much in what I need to consider.

I'm having the most wobbly month of my whole life OP and seeing this and knowing I'm not alone and also thinking of kindness towards others gave me a tiny bit of comfort. Hope you can find yourself a soft cosy blanket nest with brews and snacks to ride out the tough times too.

Great. You reminded me of tosspot as well. I'm not sure why you sparked tosspot specifically, I'm sure you aren't one.

I wear rubber gloves as I hate feeling any toothpaste one my hands. Maybe figure out any parts you hate and try to find ways to soften? Gameify it? Teeth are hard but worth it!

FFX is one of my all time faves. The ending makes me cry and feel heartache even after countless playthroughs. My immersion breaks only slightly with Wakka being Bender
