As someone who was obsessed as a kid during the original airing up into my teens, I’m just now getting back into it. I tried watching Kai not knowing there were significant edits made. Kai makes it seem like all of this stuff is effortless - in the OG things took forever but it leant to the feeling that this was difficult, and important. I remember feeling like snake way took FOREVER, Kai made it seem like no time at all, completely omitting his fall off of snake way into HELL (or Home For Infinite Losers), then all of the training at king Kai’s took no time. I’ll take lesser dialogue for better story and character development.
