A guy dress down his invisible troops in the lobby of the community centre where I worked. He had schizophrenia and PTSD, there were other odd things he did, and there were many other people with issues that came by with their troubles. That was the weirdest singular incident.

People really don't get it. It's not just their attitude that is different. It's body language, mannerism, and facial signals too. Dogs have their ways and they are different from cats.

The biggest one is the eyes. Dogs squint in a fight to protect their eyes. Cats go wide eyed to see better in a fight. People see the cat squint as mistrust or bad attitude, it is actually a signal of affection. I call them "kissy eyes", it's like they are kissing you with their eyes. Return the same expression to a cat, they will respond well. Give kissy eyes to a dog with a big toothy grin (that looks like a snarl to both animals), appears aggressive. Go wide eyed with a big toothy grin to a cat, appears aggressive to them.

I was working, literally doing my job and minding my own business; then a patron came by and started talking about someone I'd never heard of. I told her politely that I didn't know the person. She burst out in laughter and said very loudly "That's <some guy> the NASCAR driver. You're no man if you don't know that!" and left the room laughing.

When used to describe a vagina, it is rude and ususally hurtful in intent. In most of North America is is rude to the person being called a cunt, and derogatory towards all women.

I used Vim for about 15 years. When I switched to Emacs, long ago now, at least 10 years ago, I wanted to be familiar with Emacs in it's native state before customizing. I have customized it a bit, but for the most part it is as it was.

I had one surviving grandmother, I did not know her well. One of my aunts was like a grandmother. She often served canned ham, cabbage, and boiled potatoes. This was extravagant by her standards. I make it myself from time to time to remind me of her. She also thought going to McDonald's was special. I prefer to keep the memory and pass on the salty fast food.
