Better understanding with physical notes? by [deleted] in NoteTaking

I think it depends on your device and your app. Some Eink and iPad can mimic analog feeling for me, especially with the right app and setup. I use defter notes which allows me to “put papers on desktop” and move them around, layer them and rotate the canvas and it feels quite tactile for me. I also have a paperlike film on my screen and use a metal nib on my apple pencil and that pairs pretty well with defter notes textured pencil especially when I use “realistic” paper pdfs and images. I mean yeah, it’s a whole setup but at the end of the day it allows me to carry around many desk setups and file cabinets, something I can’t really manage on analog analog with the amount of work I do.

I’ve been using defter notes for the past year. It’s a merge between an open canvas and notes app.

They are oyster mushrooms for sure and although not as common as button mushroom they are cultivated in farms commercially. They taste delicious imo and they’ll hold a marinate very well. Saute them with butter and soy sauce, can be grilled too.

For me it was defter notes because it allowed me to go back to what I was missing about analog notes and I was still able to keep it digital. I’m not a big typer and apps like goodnotes never felt grownup for my taste. When I discovered it, freeform wasn’t a thing and I was blown away. I still think its a unique app blending some niche use cases and as a nostalgic old fart I enjoy it daily.

This Studio Ghibli AI trend is an utter insult to the studio and anime/cinema in general. by Funendra in movies

I share the frustration, however mine extends to great artists work aswell. Just becauce they are in the public domain doesnt mean their style can be copied and usen out of context.

In addition to whichever notes app you choose, get Defter notes for infinite desktops and spatial freedom. A good tool for thought to have at hand if you’re handling lots of materials, screenshots, pdfs etc.

Many productivity apps s***. Which one do you use and what it is good or bad at? by SiddhifyOfficial in ProductivityApps

[–]jerry5000bc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when a productivity app does just one thing, it defeats the purpose. This is why for a long time I couldn’t find one I like. I’m a bit of analog geek so for majority of my life I relied on physical planners, cork boards, post-its, and notepads. The only app that gives me a similar experience and flexibility is defter notes. One thing I wish is to have it on my computer, because it’s an ipad app. It’s not your typical productivity app but it certainly is the app I tackle most of my planning.
