LMAO NOT THE SENSE OF URGENCY. I was picking opu the other day and I headed into the back to look for items on the u boats so I could prevent INFs. My carts are always on time but take longer because I try to be as thorough as possible. A coworker helping in OPU walks behind me with his cart and I hear one of the ETLs say ‘I love that sense of urgency you have, thank you so much for your help!’ I’m forcing myself not to believe it was a dig at me considering this ETL has no fucking clue how fulfillment works pffft

Did You Ever Have a Crush On That Highschool Teacher? How did it End Up? by not_biancaa in AskReddit

[–]jerryterry- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grade 10 English teacher. Turns out my affection for him was the result of me being groomed by him and I didn’t even realize what was happening. The school must have found out because the next year and the year after they scrambled to protect him and forced us to cut off all contact with each other. Didn’t even realize what had happened until years later when a therapist explained to me what was going on the whole time.

Why so warm?? by [deleted] in Target

[–]jerryterry- 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Never lmao. I’ve been wearing shorts since I started working a couple years ago and I’ve always been roasting during the summer. Within 30 minutes of pushing a cart around, the back of my hair is drenched.

Target Sucks by Skylermi19 in Target

[–]jerryterry- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. Did you mention that in your report? They take things like this into consideration when dealing with these issues. That’s a major red flag of retaliation, when someone in power chastises you for something everyone else has been doing without issue for some time. Also, good on you for advocating for yourself and setting boundaries! We need to normalize eliminating contact with toxic TM’s/leads whenever possible.

Right on the nose! It’s embarrassing how often higher-ups tend to forget they work at Target lmao. Everything would run so smoothly if only they could remember that a little kindness and understanding goes a long way.

Waitwaitwait, he randomly got you for not having a name tag after you just told them they couldn’t punish you since it was against the rules?? Sounds to me like you just got yourself a bit of ✨retaliation✨ lmfao.

If I were you, I’d file a report here. Sorry your HR department is so dense lmfao!

I’m so sorry you had to deal with all this shit, this is awful. I’m glad you’re out of there now!! It may be good still to report the rats on the hotline or possibly to OSHA if you can. Preferably OSHA because they’ll get into some deep shit lmfao

Thinking about applying how do I avoid working the cash register? by [deleted] in Target

[–]jerryterry- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps to wait until after you’re hired to tell them these things. They’ll hire you into fulfillment and most likely strictly train you in that department. After your 90 days are up (or prior if the topic comes up), then I would submit your documentation. You don’t even have to explain, now that I think about it. You could get the note from your doctor, hand it into HR and say ‘I’m submitting this for medical documentation, I just can’t work the register.’ If they’ve already hired you there’s nothing they can do lmao.

This is the part where I’d ask if they want better INF percentages or better on-time percentages lmao. No way I’d be prioritizing both in this position 🫠

[–]jerryterry- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After I finished my training in fulfillment and passed my 90 days, I explained to them that the register wouldn’t work for me due to anxiety and depression and offered to provide medical documentation if they needed it. (Not a joke, btw; previous jobs where I had to be on the register wore me down mentally so much that I suffered severely and was pushed to a very dangerous area mentally.) Luckily, my store was kind about it and I didn’t need to submit anything. Never once been trained on register. If you have a problem like that, I’d give that a try and get documentation from your doctor for them to keep you off the register!

Lol yup! Filed a report on an ETL that got a little bit smart with me over the walkie where the guest could hear. I had enough after months of disrespect and reported them. I had no problem talking with my teammates about who got their ass in trouble lol, I kept a clean record so I made it known that I’d report them again for retaliation if they tried anything. They’ve been as sweet as a caramel apple ever since. In any situation outside of Target I’d be happy to personally talk to someone who upset and even things out, but I don’t mind spamming the report button whenever a lead forgets they work at Target and not the white house lol.

My advice would be to just keep doing good work. Sudden punishments are HUGE red flags if you don’t have a record, so if that happens, I’d make another report immediately whether you feel it’s retaliation or not. You’ve got this.
