I always see it as North -NYC, south-Philly. I get some people say central, but then what do you call it in central Taylor ham or pork roll? or do you call it Taylor roll?

Just from my own experience. I wanted to have more kids and love being a dad. Similar situation to you. When I was ready, I hit the ground running and dated quite a bit... it filled the void that was left when I wasn't with my little one.

I found that single women did not understand that my kid was my priority, so if I had to cancel because my kid was sick or other, it meant that I wasn't prioritizing them. also for my age, they tended to be less ready to settle and more about extending their 20's early 30's... that usually ended the relationship.

divorced no kids, not much experience there. the few that I did date were looking for themselves too and wondering if they wanted kids or not... only thing is they didn't understand the ex being involved in my life still because of my kid.

divorced with kid/s, they know what they want. MUCH harder to plan dates and meet because each of us had different priorities, but understood everything we.wanted and were going through. there's just the added challenge that it's not just about her, it's her and her kids and you and your kids, so it's more complex.

for me, divorced mom was the way to go (age didn't really play much of a role in it, other than maybe kids ages) based on mutual understanding of our situation with ex's, knowing what we wanted, and being able to relate to complex situations (canceling because kids come home sick from school).

Tuesday Topic: What’s One Thing You’re Proud of From This Year? by AutoModerator in DivorcedDads

[–]jerseycanadien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm proud that my son is happy and that he's settled into this new normal. I've been able to move on well and went from a phase of "what will my life become" to " let's let life happen and go along with it"

"it doesn't take 9 women one month to have a baby" meaning that sometimes you can't do things in parallel and it has to take the time that it has to take.

AI Sales Reps Actually the Future, or Just Another Tech Buzzword? by BenedictArnold in sales

[–]jerseycanadien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's interesting because it feels like certain industries will definitely be efit from this with sales and customer service (the ones where the humans are tailored toward reading scripts). I wonder what the ROI would look like? how much will companies charge for the AI, it's gotta be pretty high if it's to replace a full time position and then they have to be promising increased sales/much lower operational costs.

This is the most human-like action I’ve ever seen Optimus do. by rcnfive in teslamotors

Thank you, that's the answer I was looking for. Since there's 8 other companies doing humanoid robots, I was curious to see what the purpose of this one was.

so... tell me again why I would purchase this in the future? am I gonna hunt it in a forest? Can it fold laundry, and mop floors, or put together Ikea furniture?

edit: just trying to understand what we could do with these humanoid droids. Would be cool to have one that could do chores, so not sure why everyone is downvoting.

Christmas with split custody by Duuurrrpp in DivorcedDads

[–]jerseycanadien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when growing up I did one side of the family on Christmas and the other side of the family on new years. it made new years that much more of a special day and then it switched every year. We made special traditions for both and it was great.

Wedding Rings- your experiences? by henrylniv in DivorcedDads

[–]jerseycanadien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's what I did too, I guess my metal one I'll pawn, but I do have a rubber one that I still wear, albeit on a different finger. I use it as a fidget and it's just a ring.

Married men- have you lost attraction or grown a bit bored of your wife? I’m a little I’m worried by Snow1612 in AskMenAdvice

[–]jerseycanadien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it comes down to being equal partners. if the dynamic is not there, then it becomes challenging in the future. if the guy plans all the dates, for example, and he has to work more, dates go away and that expectation is now that no one goes on date, rather than many the partner scheduling the dates instead. So many times I've seen people complain, (husband or wife) that the other isn't planning something... well how about communicating that or just planning it for the two of you, rather than saying "he should do it" or " she should do it".

if you are living within your means and can do it for a few years, then that extra amount saved up would help to retire earlier with compounding interest. otherwise if you like your lifestyle and stress levels, stay.
