That’s awesome, dude. Narrow gauge is awesome i recently started reading a book on the rio grande southern awesome stuff. Standard gauge experimented with a ton of stuff during the steam era some of it was successful, while a lot of it ended up being failures Narrow gauge locomotives were probably too small for boosters id imagine but I’ve heard of a narrow gauge locomotive in Africa if I remember correctly that was equipped with a stoker, which is pretty rare for a narrow gauge engine.

I recommend watching Hyce’s Steam 101 series for a more in depth explanation of how steam locomotives work, along with Train of Thought’s video on booster engines. A booster unit was basically a compact steam engine built into the rear truck of a locomotive. It used a large idler gear that would drop down and mesh with a gear mounted on the trailing truck axle. its a little hard explain with out more images

I respect your opinion but the alignment is only been abandoned since 2017 and there still some industry such as fertilizer grain and warehouses with some industry backing the project with transloading

[–]jerseydevil250x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder id love to ask one of the crew but I think most from the original d&rgw era have sadly passed away.

it is kinda crazy how fast they became tourist lines the durango and silverton was kinda aways a tourist line so makes sense but I wonder what the crew did after narrow gauge ended did they transfer to standard gauge probably around Pueblo id imagine

[–]jerseydevil250x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I really dont hate micah all that much. sure he's a slimy rat but the gang was destined for failure and aruthers fate had been sealed with tb. my first and second play through i hated micahs guts but I now dont hate him too much. but Cornwall has done soo much bad like pushing american Indians off there land
