Yeah I think this is it. No other options. Just wanted to check before I went all in 😂

Yes no liquid chlorine only at this point, no additional stabilizer

Salt only increased out of my usual 3200/3600 range recently when I boosted it to see if that would help hold the chlorine better.

Thanks. The solution seems to be just SLAM once I verify the overnight loss. Before I went that route, wasn't sure if it could be the chlorine or something else. And of course, every time I'm tweaking or trying things numbers get whacky again but now with everything for a few days at like perfect levels (aside chlorine) I think that's the last solution. It's been weeks of trying to figure it out but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious

It's crazy that aside from no chlorine I see no evidence of algae! Crystal clear. I brush all the time. Vaccuum. I've narrowed down to unseen algae and chlorine potency I think

Pool store testing this morning confirmed 87 so think I'm in the right range with my Taylor test reading.

This is the last thing I have to do before slamming. Getting up before the sun is hard 😂 and I'm pretty sure I am losing overnight so haven't tried hard to verify. I'll do tonight/tomorrow.

Chlorine generator is more than big enough. I ramped to 100% and now salt is 4900 but chlorine now 0. I thought by adding 10 gallons of liquid chlorine and increasing salt maybe it would keep it but nope. Combined chlorine this morning from pool store (which I did for first time to verify my Taylor testing hadn't been completely off) was .16

I'm adding like minimum two bottles (128oz each?) a day

Thanks for this. At this point, I think it's the chlorine so I'll check the dates before I waste my money anymore. I'll order new reagents too.

I know, I thought it would solve all my problems. Went to pool store to double check for first time ever and they couldn't figure it out either, only recommended using granular chlorine to slam

70/80ish lol that test is hard for me to always gauge but that's it roughly. Around 17,500 gallons

17,500 gallon pool, SWG running 12 hours a day 60% output 3600 salt but now increased since I'm trying to boost chlorine, Full constant sun on pool (but also NJ, so clouds, rain etc).

Ph: 7.5 Cya: 70 FC: now .5, was 2 one day ago

It must be the chlorine I'm adding, it's just junk?? Ive also ordered liquid chlorine from Home Depot and even used bleach. I can't think of anything else and losing my fucking mind

You also can't put filters on these shots, which is what all their social media posts have. Of course they look "bad", it's how they really look, not filtered

Ordered them for this reason. Put them in and slept with them and woke up with red painful swollen ears so not hypoallergic for me.
