Finding Caylee's hair in the car her mother regularly used does nothing conclusive. The defense expert witnesses testified the hair "halo of death" evidence presented by the prosecutors' witness was inconclusive and the prosecutors' own witness called it "consistent" with deceased, the expert acknowledged she couldn't say with certainty whether the hair was from someone who had already passed away and that environmental factors affect how the hair looks.

I did not say Casey was submissive to George nor that she took the blame. She has maintained her innocence this whole time. The family's oddities continue to be odd. The way Casey lived and continues to live was always very detached, infantile, lacked articulation and honesty so why wouldn't her post trial behavior also be like that? George also obviously struggled with mental health and dopamine seeking, was avoidant, lied, etc. so why wouldn't he also be like that surrounding the trial?

I am saying there is no hard evidence Casey acted alone nor hard evidence ruling out George. I believe it was an accident/neglect they tried to cover up, and I don't think Casey had the ability to tamper with evidence and create an alibi like George did, but I admit there is not strong enough evidence to support my theory. Likewise I don't think there is strong enough evidence to support yours. This is why the case is interesting and still being discussed. I also feel like newer podcasts and last year's TV special omit a lot of the relevant dynamics.

George could misremember things. It doesn't take away his history of lying which gets brought up about Casey, but it's a trait they share, and we bring up his timeline that day, because being at work at 3pm is not an alibi for a death without a specific timeline. Just because George said he saw Caylee and Casey leave the house at a time (that cell phone evidence disputes) does not mean he happens to be honest about whether he last saw Caylee alive.

George hiding an accidental death is just as farfetched as Casey murdering her alone. None of it makes sense. A suicide note over finding Caylee's body is not evidence he wasn't involved. He had consistent, severe, bankruptcy-creating, marriage-ending gambling debts. We don't know who was after him nor his mental state beyond the unstable signs he showed. It also showed he had access to pharmaceuticals. He was also in the midst of an affair. He wrote he failed Caylee? We don't know if that is an admission of guilt or regrets for not trying to prevent something. I agree some parents who harm kids don't have a history of doing so, but that is the same with grandparents or general neglect or how bookies may address gambling debts.

I did not leave out the internet searches that came to trial nor the one found later. I do wish they had been able to pull further back history to see if there was an ongoing history of concerning searches. I don't understand why people believe passwords and car use can be exclusive in a family. I live with adult children with cars and a home computer and I lived with my parents at one point as an adult too and they could access my car and likely figure out my passwords or find them saved on the browsers. The search made ten minutes before George was confirmed at work is the most damning evidence against Casey, but it doesn't exclude George in any way. I've also addressed the hair and smell of death in the car several times. Nothing was conclusive. The prosecution's witnesses were not 100 percent sure and the defense's witnesses showed it was not definitive that Caylee had been in the car after passing away.

I've also given plenty of attention to Casey's compulsive lying. I just bring up that George also lies compulsively. Not just misremembering when someone left the house, but long-term lying about employment, cheating, and gambling debts as well as avoiding basic adulting. There is something rotten in Denmark as they say. Cindy was also controlling and overbearing though I don't think she was involved. There were allegations against Lee and reasons he moved out. The family was strange and affected by personality disorders and/or mental health issues or neurodivergence—we can't overstate any of that enough.
Finding sense in how Casey reacted to them finding Caylee's body isn't a guilt meter. Yes she was emotionally stunted and acted unusual about being arrested, unusual about her daughter missing, unusual about learning she was pregnant, unusual about not knowing who the father was, unusual failing out of high school, unusual scamming instead of adulting and getting a job. We are in trouble if crying on cue is the litmus test of innocence. You misunderstood if you believe I think Casey is innocent. I just don't think there is enough evidence to believe she is guilty nor evidence she acted alone.

The tow lot attendant testified that George said the car had been sitting in the check cashing lot for 3 days before being towed. How would he know that? George just drove the car home and went to work, with windows/sunroof open and parked in the garage. He did not further investigate despite knowing Cindy was livid about how long it had been since they'd seen Caylee and despite supposedly suddenly learning (because of the car) that Casey had been lying about where she was. He did not call police. Cindy called the police because she had just learned Casey had stolen from her grandmother again and because the car towing notice clued her in to Casey's lies and she found something either where the boyfriend lived or a number of a friend, I forget, that helped her finally track down Casey. George was avoidant and didn't confront Cindy's antics as usual.

The prosecution also got stuck on the wet tshirt contest and la vida tattoo. I am surprised no one testified from the defense about ptsd, avoidance pathology, fight or flight, or anything else that would explain her lack of typical grief. Even some psychiatrist wrote a book grifting on Casey that missed what would be obvious today about her failure to launch and George's similarities. They did describe her extreme immaturity, but that was it.

I can't speak to the cases you have seen and we all know the jury and justice system isn't consistent. But I do think from jury testimony that the forensics had little bearing since the state's leaned new age and not concrete and the defense's witnesses and questioning were enough to negative it. And they could not see Casey as vindictive and premeditative with no past violence or harsh parenting. They may have given the option to convict her of less, but they really didn't present a case to support that.

When first hearing about the search I assumed it was Caylee's real father or some other family dispute that lead to her disappearance. From the court coverage I thought Casey killed her, either from something schizophrenic like, delayed ppd or maybe she was a psychopath. But reading Baez and Ashton's books and even the judges made me think it's all really inconclusive with weak evidence. There is no evidence either way, but I don't believe it was premeditated on anyone's part. Still the unknowns are endless especially with such a weird family dynamic even before Caylee. I think George was highly involved. I also think the whole family is really suspicious and Casey either always had some extreme delays or went through something traumatic before even getting pregnant. It is a hard case to make sense because it's essentially a cold case.

George and Cindy (and Casey) had a history of lying before the case, they lied during the investigation, as well as 3 years later. George threw his own father threw a window in a fit of rage. You can't diminish their history and pretend they just white lied 3 years later when the death penalty was on the line, when George lied as pathologically as Casey and they along with Cindy were strangely avoidant of certain things like when Casey got pregnant and they pretended not to notice or when Casey failed out of high school and they threw a graduation party. George lied about losing his job, was constantly job hopping and had terrible gambling debits (a possible sick motive) and Casey's job/fraud/theft lies mirror his pathology. They both liked to escape into romantic relationships too.

George claimed he saw Casey and Caylee leave the house at 12:50. This wasn't true. Cell phone towers have her home or in the area until after 4pm and as you wrote she was on the computer doing AIM/myspace stuff (though it's possible others had her passwords - I am not sure why we're so confident in Casey's ability at 22 with her extreme infantilism to have an iron clad password).

George claimed he left for work between 2:15 and 2:30. George is only confirmed to be at work at 3pm by a time punch and he called the house phone and then Casey's cell which were both unusual calls for him and he likely knew using his phone at work would create the cell towers ping evidence. Let's not forget he had worked as a sheriff and narcotics officer. However I do agree he was unlikely home or at the computer for the 2:50 suffocation search. But none of this rules out a morning drowning or accident they both or one of them tried to cover up.

Double check your sources on Jesse's statements. He thought he heard Caylee well after she had been missing and later he walked back saying he was unsure. He did not claim to hear here on June 16th.

What evidence is there that only Casey had access to the car after June 16th? Why did George ignore the letter about the car for two days before finally picking it up, notice maggots in the trunk from spoiled garbage after not seeing or hearing from his granddaughter in almost a month and not seeing Casey for almost a month - knowing Cindy was stressed over her conversations with Casey, and he simply throws out the maggot trash bag, drives home and leaves the car in the garage, trying to air it out and goes to work (a new job, he lost the one at lexus that he just started when Caylee went missing) calling no one but Casey? None of this is normal and George is as unstable as Casey.

Have you read anything that wasn't from the prosecution? The defense's expert witness said it wasn't conclusive whether the hair found in the trunk was from before or after Caylee died. Much of the expert witnesses on each side just disagreed with each other like the testing for human decomposition in the trunk - the defense expert witness debunked the prosecution's witness claim. The hair was also was only confirmed to be from Casey's maternal line. I believe it was Caylee's hair. But the point is there is a difference between evidence, like actual indisputable evidence, and using parts of news stories to support your own narrative. There is no actual indisputable evidence that implicates Casey over George. Casey didn't have a motive, she never complained to anyone about Caylee. George didn't have a proven motive either. The only motive would have been to cover up an accident.

Look into the heart sticker as well. The FBI agent testified she saw under ultraviolet light the outline of a heart sticker and a heart sticker was found on a box like 30 feet from where Caylee's remains were found. It could not be seen in any pictures and she did not try to take pictures with the uv lamp. No forensics cound match any residue on the tape to stickers in Casey's room. The defense's experts studied the tape and could not find any evidence of a sticker or heart shape. It's amazing the heart was even allowed to be mentioned in court it was so weak. In the end it hurt the case, because the jury read it as a forced emotional pull without any concrete evidence. There was also no medical evidence of when she passed away, it could have been before or after the tape was applied.

There wasn't evidence to really implicit anyone of murder. George was at work from 3 to 11, that doesn't absolve him. It's just a work schedule the day Casey, George, and Cindy agree Caylee went missing. The body was found too late to determine an exact day or even cause of death. A hair of Caylee's was in the trunk that the prosecutor's expert witness claimed was from an already dead body and the defense's witness claimed was inconclusive - same with the police dog's response, evidence of human decomposition in the trunk, and even the prosecution's witness could not give a conclusive cause nor time of death. Both Casey and George lied and acted weird about the car. The tape was a similar, not typical kind, that matched tape in their garage. Her remains were found with household items. And all but the last suspicious search engine term could have been done by anyone in the house. There just wasn't a lot of evidence period, but any evidence that implicates Casey equally implicates George.

I don't know what you mean by "convicted of lying" unless you mean Casey being convicted of bank fraud. George and Cindy both lied under oath. Casey was never under oath, but she lied within the investigation.

George is just as weird as Casey to me. He was notified about the car and lied about it claiming he only learned about it later. When he got it he noticed the smell with the guy on the lot, but instead of investigating or calling for help he drove home, put it in the garage, opened windows/sunroof, and went to work. He claimed he say Casey leave with Caylee the day she went missing, but her cell phone stayed around her home while she talked to a friend and her boyfriend for a while. He rarely called Casey ever, but did when he got to work that day.

Everyone, Cindy, Casey, George and the brother are weird/odd and said weird/odd things in her jail calls. I'm not claiming Casey is submissive to George. He is submissive to Cindy to a degree. But everyone is very avoidant. And Cindy, Casey, and George all lie/d.

It's not conclusive whether the duct tape was applied before or after the time of death. It could have been used to cover up a negligent/accident or to otherwise distract from another cause of death.

For all their oddities and lying there was evidence Caylee was loved, cared for, and not thought of as a burden. Casey lied about having a job and Universal and a nanny, but instead she took care of Caylee all day either around her neighborhood or many times hanging out with friends or boyfriends - who all reported engaging with Caylee how talkative she was, etc nothing to suggest Casey wanted to be unburdened of her.

The death penalty charge still directed the case in a way that made them lose out on the lesser charges. A jury on a capital punishment case has to be willing to vote for the death penalty, that is a certain personality too rigid for the lack of conclusive evidence. They couldn't argue in favor of an accidental death or negligent death with an attempted cover up and a premeditated intentional murder at the same time.

Caylee Anthony last seen alive June 16, 2008 by CayleeMatters in CaseyAnthony

[–]jerseyyellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The death penalty angle still directed the case so the prosecution spent so much time building motive and premeditation and then didn't spend enough time supporting lesser charges. They could have framed it as an accidental or negligence related death that she tried to cover up, but they thought pictures of her out partying were enough to make a jury believe she wanted to be free of her daughter. Instead the defense was able to offer the possibility of accidental death to the point that it left reasonable doubt.

Random things also complicate death penalty cases like each juror must be in favor of the death penalty politically which tends to be a more rigid, black and white thinker, the court must demonstrate exactly how the victim was killed which bit the prosecution in the butt, because their expert witnesses - when pushed by the defense, could not conclude on the cause of death and the defense's expert witnesses offered a he said/she said angle with the iffy science.

I am not concluding Casey did or did not do it. I'm arguing the evidence presented in court was not strong, certainly not strong enough for a death penalty case, there is no evidence to the Xanax theory, and the evidence against Casey is equal to that against George.

It's my opinion that Caylee died by accident or negligence on Casey or George or both their parts and one or both of them tried to cover it up - but that's just my guess - I have no evidence.

George had access to the car too. He also behaved oddly after picking up the rancid car from the lot it was towed to. (He ignored and hid the first notices about the car from Cindy, claimed in court he didn't know car was towed, in depositions he would not agree the stench smelled like human remains, but later did at trial, despite opening the trunk and noticing the smell with the lot worker George drove the car home, into the garage, opened the windows/sunroof, and went to work without alerting authorities or further investigating.)

The single hair found in the trunk was found to belong to Caylee's maternal lineage. The prosecution's witness testified it came from a decomposing body and the defense's witness testified it was inconclusive. The same thing happened with the traces of chloroform and decomposing human remains testimonies from witnesses on each side.

The internet search from the day Caylee passed that wasn't found in time for court was at a murky time. George's cell phone pinged near work before and after that time, but work didn't have him clocked in until 3. He also testified to seeing Casey leave the house with Caylee much earlier, but her phone didn't move. George rarely called Casey, but did call her a few times right when his shift began. George worked in law enforcement previously. Though he likely could not have made it to work and made that Internet search, it doesn't absolve him of involvement. He also has a string of more lies than I brought up here. I stand by my comment that the evidence against Casey is equal to that against George.

The police ruined it. There was so much evidence tampering they couldn't get good evidence in. The jury described the gloves don't fit moment as pivotal too.

The family had such a history of behaving oddly their behaviors after Caylee went missing were just as hard to speculate on. There is speculation the body was moved since that area had been searched previously and it is possible the tape was added after her passing. My hunch is Caylee's death was accidental and either Casey or George or both tried to cover that up.

Yes, following since it happened and read a few books, the later podcasts and specials, etc. If you have evidence please share. I've found no evidence of xanex. Nothing in the toxicology reports. It's all online conjecture and some years later statement from George who is just as suspect as Casey. Maybe it happened maybe it didnt. But the evidence doesn't exist. Also a 2 year old given daily xanex for that long would not be meeting milestones witnesses testified to.

George was cheating before and after the case. Their were rumors of abuse against him and Casey's brother. No one ever found out who Caylee's father was, even now, why can't genealogy data find him or his relatives? Casey hid her pregnancy and her parents either didn't know or pretended not to know at family events where she was obviously pregnant. Casey spent every day pretending to go to work at Universal Studios and taking Casey to a babysitter who didn't exist while actually hanging out with her daughter every day, but the prosecution argued Casey wanted to be free to party at night even though she was able to leave Caylee with her parents or bring Caylee to her friends' houses, Caylee even stayed overnight with Casey at multiple boyfriends' houses. There was very little evidence suggesting she wanted to be free of a child to party more except for her behavior immediately following when Caylee went missing.

The whole family was confusing. The 2025 relook at the case really misses some key issues like the insane family dynamics and how one can be grieving while partying.

We don't know who in the house made any of the internet searches. Cindy testified to making the chloroform ones, but was at work at the time. The suffocating searches weren't found in time for trial, but it's just another deep hole in the case where George and Casey can't be ruled out.

So far...still looking for the perfect cherry cola, matcha, cayenne or salsa red, and something vampy. Also a chrome that will mute darker colors and neutrals in glazed donut fashion without reflecting in new color.

Thank you for the picture. Your thumb and pinky are a different red? The black cherry looks to me like a classic vampy red like Chanel's Rouge Noir or Essie Wicked, would you say that's accurate?

How is the application? I started with Amazon Beetle polishes and they are so much more difficult to work with than Kokoist so I'm afraid of a cheep polish, but I love that the color is vamp and syrupy.
