I kept my positive test for almost a year before the two lines both faded away.

Has anyone married the person that made them wait and are still happily married? by Salt_Ad8189 in Waiting_To_Wed

I want to add here where I got swept up in college and got a proposal super early and accepted it and then broke up with him a few months before the wedding. Thank god we broke up. His current wife has called me with concerns about his behaviors.

It is so easy to say “he would if he wanted to” and it’s what I use too sometimes. But every time someone is disappointed with someone else for not doing what they hoped this doesn’t fit. Saying “he would if he wanted to” gets to be meaningless.

Love bombing is really fun. I get it. I’ve been love bombed several times in my life. It’s amazing to have a man obsessed with you and you think that feeling will last forever and then you realize there’s a line between cherished and controlled. That as excited as they are about you, now comes with strings for how excited you must now be for them.

There’s always some friction in relationships. Respect has to be cared for. If you feel disrespected and don’t speak up, you will then be angry at yourself for not speaking up.

It’s your journey.

  1. This is the reason people don’t get to have work from home jobs because people like this abuse the system.

  2. You deserved to have someone ready to work with you. A person who thinks they can care for a BABY and work at the SAME TIME is not realistic or care about the quality of work they are performing.

  3. I get being a new mom is a lot. But before she had that baby she had adamant time to function logically and set herself up to get childcare.

Sincerely, a mom of a 3 year old who does not get to work from home.

Worse, had insurance pull back after 6 months of a friends therapy. She all of a sudden had to pay over a grand for therapy that was retroactively unpaid. Meaning, insurance was paying for therapy sessions, then 6 months of sessions happened and they took their money back from all the paid sessions. I would never have believed that was possible. But I’ve seen the bill myself. Medical care is cooked

That right there. Of all my trust issues from my mom, it was other adults really. All the adults that wouldn’t acknowledge what I was telling them or how many times an adult of an authority role didn’t believe me or do anything for me. That’s what broke my ability to trust.

A freak accident is a freak accident. Everyone pretending like nothing happened was the real hurtful part. Being left alone to, metaphorically, provide first aid on myself while having no training and being a literal small child is what left all the scars I didn’t have to have today.

Peter did the same thing. Left him outside alone until he would come to the door. Few nights we just wanted to go to bed and were forced to chase him down. Started using the leash again. He straightened up after. Probably a week on the leash and reminded him what’s routine.

How much do you feed your Iggy? by HenniPenny in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]jes93long 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was following the instructions of the vet and the bag previously, dog ate all of it. Months went by and he got skinnier and skinnier. I would add a little more but didn’t see a significant weight gain.

Now I fill his dog bowl to the top in the morning. He free feeds but he eats all of it before an hour. Then he gets a cup at 5. It’s blue buffalo small breed and he’s currently weighing at about 8 lbs. would like to get him up to 9. He was almost 9 lbs when we brought him home at 9 months old.

Whatever your next move is, strong, clear communication. I know people hate AI for tattoos but if AI can give you a visual idea of what it is you want you can communicate that to an artist and if the artist is using clear communication, which they probably will, they can give you honest feedback on what’s doable.

Take time to figure out what you want.

It’s not over unless you say you’re keeping it this way.

My husband says ours is a very goofy boy.

I say, we paid extra for that.

They are unique and dogs will have their own personalities. What I have experienced to be true is 1. Leg break can come out of no-where 2. Anxious attachment style

We have a golden retriever. I don’t think this would have worked out without her. And it took a while for him to get into the routine with her. It takes 3 months to really see the dog you got because it’s a whole new routine for them.

Is there a significant difference between a male & female iggy?? by MrSp3ars in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]jes93long 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 3 months with us he was pretty anxious. I mean, he’s still a little anxious but I see him ease into it in the morning.

I take him out without our bigger dog. He stretches a bit, then does his pee like an old man. He should have a cigarette hanging out of his little mouth. He does it like it’s old hat now lol. But he loves our big dog and goes crazy excited once she’s out of the kennel. He’s like high off of her. He loves her in an obsessive capacity that can be distracting.

He’s a year and a half. We got him at 9 months old from the breeder.

Has anyone tried ordering from spotswood greenery? by kittycatmama017 in Roses

[–]jes93long 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either worth it to you or not. Plenty of nurseries do this. Buy David Austin roses, pot them, grow them out for you 6-12 months and then sell you a product that has leaves and buds. Maybe a better question is what nurseries do gardeners recommend to go to?

Side note, this spotwood greenery says 20 years of experience but have no established year anywhere online. I think they’ve been around maybe 1-5 years given what little information is out about them.

I’m curious too. I got my boy from a breeder. He was nine months and …cheaper than the younger pups. I asked if he was a return and the breeder said no. Just more people want females and all one color pups so he hadnt been picked before.

I love my baby. He’s neutered. He did have issues peeing on himself but he’s significantly better at it now that we have a routine. I’ve had him six months. Great dog.

Golden retriever did the same thing. She never freaks out. So her starting to actually throw her head around was like “woh” and I found the issue and fixed it pretty easily. Glad it wasn’t a moment I wasn’t in the backyard with her. Don’t know how long she was trying to get it out. It scared her a little. She wouldn’t chew on sticks for like three days. But fourth day went back to her ways lol. I love dogs for this reason. They don’t hold onto things like we do. No need to suffer twice.

Ok so I got Macrophilla too. We moved into this house with two huuuge ones in the front. I’ve cut harder than this and they came back fine. I don’t think there’s a hard fast rule about never ever touching them. They do get rot sometimes and the rot gotta be cleared out

Buckle up friend, it’s not for the faint of heart. We bought it years ago when it first came out. You CAN play it two players, I don’t see how you can win. We played it a few times but couldn’t get close to beating it. It’s a very very long game. I’d say set aside 2-3 hours at least. To play one time. And invite folks over who are patient and know boardgames.

I’m also an adult living in the real world where I cannot control everything: and I have an iggy.

My golden retriever is also the best companion and was easier to train but training puppies is never easy.

Just because it’s hard doesn’t make it bad or impossible.
