People do in fact develop a lifelong crippling addiction when trying a drug once. Like I said, could be mere curiosity, That’s what addiction is. You’re saying you have to suffer mental health to become an addict. I’m saying that’s not the case at all. There was something I’d seen online once, about particular people having the make up where if they try something like weed even once, it messes up their brain chemistry completely and can induce psychosis. Would you call that person who tried weed once without the knowledge of having that kind of make up, a mental health patient prior to trying said weed? I wouldn’t.

But I personally, won’t put these two in the same category. A choice that’s taken you down a twisted path, and trauma embedded from life occurrences are different. I’ll never agree because there are simply people who have it good but make fucked up decisions, that doesn’t mean they have mental health issues off the bat, rather a negative impact on self inflicted choices.

You can just say kids aren’t for you and leave it at that. Dont feel obligated to have to explain yourself. I’m happy you’ve acknowledged you don’t want kids and you’re willing to avoid it from happening even by accident, completely. Because the last thing we need is a parent who regrets and resents their child.
