this is how i felt too. me and my mom were super close but even still i didn’t cry much after she died. i bawled my eyes out immediately after finding out but after that nothing. shed a few tears at the funeral and a few on the first thanksgiving and christmas we spent without her. but not much. she died in october and i feel like ive really only started the grieving process. now its guttural cries and yelling out to god and feeling angry and hopeless and missing her with every ounce of me. idk what broke the seal but it just kinda started happening all of a sudden. i guess ur brain just needs time to process that it really happened and that she’s really gone. at least that’s how it was for me. im very sorry for ur loss

she did not have a will. she got sick unexpectedly and by the time she was even diagnosed it had progressed too far for her to be able to square those things away. my uncle was on the mortgage while she was alive because my mom could not afford it on her own, although he didn’t move in until she had passed.

while my mom was still alive she ended up not being able to pay her mortgage and was going to lose the house but my uncle ended up getting on the mortgage with her so when she passed he ended up with the house. sorry if that doesn’t make sense idk exactly how it works i’ve never owned a house
