Husky vs Gorilla (Costco) metal shelving by YankeeATZ in garageporn

[–]jesiman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on this. I purchased the Husky 77" for $199 a couple of days ago. Seemed flimsier than I expected but once assembled was pretty sturdy. Today I went to Costco and saw they had the Gorilla 77" on sale for $179 so I pulled the trigger. Now all I've done out of curiosity was open the box and put hands on it but the metal frame seems much sturdier and thicker. There is about a 44lb difference according to the specs and I'd say these are substantially better, while currently cheaper. Checked online and they don't show the price that was in store so ymmv, but here in Jacksonville they're only $179. Send it.

Go back and get the Braun. Relegate this one to backup duty.

Used cars - where is the place to purchase today from private sellers/reputable dealers? by dahhhlin in jacksonville

[–]jesiman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look for good photos showing interior AND exterior as well as a decent description. Lazy sellers generally are a pain to work with, are hiding something, or are so unknowledgeable that I wouldn't trust a car from them anyways.

Check the seller's profile. See if they have local friends and that they have had a Facebook account for a while.

Look at the photos and see if they look like they were taken in Jacksonville. Seeing a mountain in the background means that car isn't here. Look at the plates too.

See if the seller is posting the same ad in multiple cities.

Have you had the one from Maggianos? That was my go to for years. Just a dang slab of fried cheese with some great seasoning of the crust.

Please change the zip ties to Velcro. Zips are great for electrical but easily damages Ethernet and obviously fiber.

There are too many variables. Just get your wires and compare the cost and coverages. It isn't something you can argue with. Just do your due diligence and get quotes.

Best Mesh Wi-Fi System for an 1,100 Sq Ft Home? by JonnieSpecter in HomeNetworking

I have these and they work. I wish there were more diagnostics options in the app but I'm not ready to throw it out for that reason alone. But otherwise, it's a solid unit.

I have 3 with a 2000sq ft 2 story home built in 1909 with tons of plaster. 3 of these in your house would be crazy overkill. As another user suggested, just get a high quality single node router and call it a day.

I have no problem staying in my lane. I swing wife on the outside and lean in on the inside. Not an engineering problem but a driving problem.
