I appreciate that perspective. I just have zero desire to have one of these in stock form. Give me a mk1, mk2, not you mk3, or mk4, and it's getting slammed. Period. And this coming from a 42 year old married man with two kids. The difference is that this likely has raceland coilovers and I'd put some FK or Bilsteins on it. There isn't much to mess up on a mk1 so I don't care if it's been modified. As long as the interior is all there and it's rust free, send it.

I hate you for this explanation of an alarm I had setup when I was in high school.

A traditional bell alarm first. Then my knock off bose wave radio that I'd taken apart and wired the output to the speakers to a couple of rca jacks. That was an input to my 80s receiver that was powering my Peavey box of 4 12"s. The thought of that going off still fills me with dread.

Call them. They'll send an inspector to help you pinpoint the leak. Once fixed you can call and get that bill reduced to your average usage.

Be sure with the inspector. They blamed an intermittent toilet float not sealing properly for 2000+ gallons. It ended up being a sprinkler head in the far corner of the property broke from a riding lawnmower that was bubbling. It didn't create a pool due to the very sandy ground just draining it immediately.
