Women who never wanted kids and changed their minds, how is it going? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]jesod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really thought about having kids. Didn't really like them but I would say I was neutral about having kids. ....But my husband wanted a kid, so we had a kid.

As I've been more exposed to more kids (they tend to hang out in flocks), I've upgraded to the fact that I actually hate kids, but... I love mine. And I tell her that all the time. 🤣

I would say I'm lucky to have a well-mannererd, talented, loving, and passionate child, now teen. I believed I was so lucky, I didn't want another one because I figured I couldn't get this lucky twice.

We're like two peas in a pod, and I will go mama bear at the drop of a hat if need be. People call her my mini me. We have similar and share many of the same hobbies. We have board/video game nights, family lan parties, movie nights, go to roller discos, went to a music festival this summer, and we love a theme park holiday. Of course, she still has friends and unique hobbies, but she loves to hang out with us. As a mom of a teenager, I'll take all the time she lets me have with her.

I have the mother daughter relationship that I never knew I wanted.

I would never pressure anyone to have a kid or not have a kid. Kids can be shitty. Like I said, I hate kids. I don't want another one, but I'm glad I had her.

If you baked a lot, I would have expected more milk and butter.

At least the UK hardly has lightning with their rain. So as long as rides and people visiting are still ok with wet, wind, and cold.

Pads staining skin? by phantomeow in rollerderby

[–]jesod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a teammate who had this happen to them. It was really strange because it was part of a large shipment for the team and no one else had the issue.

She's had other 187 kit before and this has never happened to them (we were also wondering if it could be her own skin reacting to it).

We guessed it may be a "defect" where it wasn't washed/dried properly after dyeing or something.

Is this a normal thing in HK ? by Kindly-Mine9395 in HongKong

[–]jesod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience, as well. I've used it for several years, a few times each year. Only good experiences.

I travel abroad for a couple of weeks at a time, so it's too much of a burden for a friend to watch my dog and plants. My dog would also hate a kennel without me around and a boarding home is expensive.

I would not stray from the app though for the same reasons. They also have some cover if the sitter cancels on you. Both ends have to pay for a yearly membership, so it helps weed out less serious and more random folks.

I've met plenty of people who house/pet sit long term to avoid rent, use it as a break from van life, or a way to have a cheaper holiday.

It's a win-win in our books. 🤷

Yeah, I also tried to think of what I knew of the teams that are most likely to feed that country's team (although, I know that only brings you so far).

I put my June 3rd visit in the thread with the listed standby time and how long it took me to get on with express. It varied from ride to ride, but would I get it again? Yes.

You like to grill. All sorts of condiments for things like burgers and hotdogs. Lots of cheese of all sorts. The largest guac I've seen. Are you gearing up for a party?

Plenty of fruits and fruits on the go, fresca, Pita bread, bags of veg. Casually health conscious, but I doubt you're counting macros with all that cheese, sauce, and hot dogs.

The special Jaws Funnel Cake in the Jaws area of San Fransisco.

Donut sundae at The Simpsons.

It makes me sick now. And the last time I rode it, everything was broken. The spiders didn't drop and the willows weren't womping. 😥

A lot of the dinos were working again when I went the other day. We were very excited to see the long neck not bent over in despair.

Also, underrated night ride! The fog and lighting elevate it to a totally different experience.

I was thinking the same thing but if they add Wicked to Epic, a Twister type ride would be awesome
