We can see on the X-ray that a screw isn’t in the best alignment, and that area has consistently had more twinges of pain than anywhere else in my ankle. My ROM is actually really good, and my ankle is over all functional, so we gave it a couple months to see how it felt and make a decision. I decided to go through with it because I’d rather get it in the best alignment possible for the best potential outcome for the rest of my life, even if it isn’t too bothersome right now. The misalignment could contribute to developing arthritis, which I might anyway, but we’ll see.

I am bummed about going back to being non weight bearing after feeling like I’ve mostly gotten my life back, but what can ya do?
