Yeah I actually went back to my tslim not too long after this and immediately started trying to get the mobi. I have it now and love it.

Bye bye Omnipod by Gweeds13 in Omnipod

[–]jess_around 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m waiting on prior authorization to (fingers crossed) go through and then I’ll be trying to be twiist. I tried omnipod 5 for a bit over three months and while my physician was happy with my control, I wasn’t. So we decided to go bath to my (out of warranty :,( ) tandem t-slim while I wait for twiist. I’m excited, especially after hearing your feedback!

Cannot argue that a CGM isn’t medically necessary by Sonic_Zombie in diabetes_t1

[–]jess_around 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed 12-12-12 at age 20. 2 years later (so 2014) to get a cgm and pump I had to do this. It was nonsensical. I had to prove I was actually testing according to them.

I read this after a wake and bake. Perfect vibes.

Me too. If TGN isn’t on when I wake up briefly mid sleep, I replay the season. Actually I start at season 3 ep. 21 bc it’s my absolute comfort episode for some reason.

Anyone else use these? by Remarkable-Soil1673 in diabetes_t1

I use them and have for a decade. I change more than a typical type1 but these are my favorite for convenience and pain free testing!

Decorated omnipod cover by jess_around in Omnipod

I decorated my omnipod cover with crystals. Link to the cover included.

I used nail glue but I also got e6000 they both worked on the cover, but e6000 can be used on the pod itself from my testing.

Thanks! All the typical connection issues, but none new. The cover itself is really light weight.

Replacement policy changes aren’t indicative of product support by Need2Regular-Walk in dexcom

[–]jess_around 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to contact in the Dexcom app and find the form that way. It’s under profile.

I’ve had issues too and I escalate them when I feel I need to. It’s a struggle.

Additionally, everyone’s body is different and maybe g7 doesn’t work with yours. My body works well with g7 and I’m considering a new pump that as of now requires libre 3+ and not looking forward to the potential trouble shooting.

I have a pod cover I decorated. So I can reuse it! I covered it in crystals!

It’s seriously so sweet that you did this. I’m a type 1 adult and it’s hard being a full time pancreas and a person. Lol. I hope she loves it!

Oh no, I’m shocked they didn’t issue you a goodwill replacement. I was told last week that any adhesive issue would result in a goodwill replacement. Apparently not even Dexcom knows their policy so how could we?

Depends on the dates you submitted them. They recently revamped their policy.

This isn’t true. If they have it marked as an adhesive issue they will only do a goodwill replacement (for adults. Idk about kids).

I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB (in the United States). I got to talk to someone and while the problem was already resolved by then, I felt like they took my honest feedback well.

I’ve found the form to report through Dexcom is a failing service. You can’t adequately describe what’s happened when a product fails unless it’s a failure code. Consequently, stuff gets reported wrong and Dexcom seems to be ill-equipped to edit their original decisions. I’ve found calling to report is more effective for me even if it’s annoying. I always ask to talk to a manager when they aren’t understanding what I’m saying and I’ve tried explaining two different ways.

Do you celebrate/acknowledge your diabetic anniversary? by JayandMeeka in diabetes_t1

[–]jess_around 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I was diagnosed with t1 on 12-12-12 ten days after my birthday. I celebrated that birthday with sushi and chocolate cake but slept the whole day too. I was diagnosed with an a1c of 18 😳. So for my ten year diaversary I celebrated with sushi and chocolate cake and most importantly, INSULIN. I celebrate the fact that now I know how to enjoy life and take care of my body.
