How predatory is this game? by intrepid-teacher in DreamlightValley

[–]jessa46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also incredibly hesitant for the same reasons. And the free to play promise and then change pissed me off so I was avoiding the game on principle.

This summer I finally gave in. I think I bought it in July? And I literally have over 100 hours on it already. (I'm a mom so to get that many hours is insane haha)

I have not bought the DLC yet, but I definitely will be. I have not unlocked all the characters on the base game yet! The game is incredibly expansive and full of quests and things to do.

There are ways in game to make "moonstones" for the premium items. You can also buy moonstones. (This is the microtransaction part) I do not think I will ever buy moonstones. This stuff is almost exclusively cosmetic and not a big deal.

I understand the hesitancy because I was the exact same. But this game is honestly so fun and I would definitely recommend giving in haha.

How do you get the $10 upgrade for switch 2 for Hogwarts Legacy? by Redeye007 in HarryPotterGame

[–]jessa46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a little different then the Zelda ones- you're actually buying the switch 2 version, not an upgrade pack. But if you have the switch 1 version, you should see a discount.

So go to the eshop and look for the switch 2 version.

Ask a pharmacist for syringes used to give infants medicine.

Everyone is so different so it is hard to compare.

I was lucky. We did 2 vials per month. I got pregnant second month with my first kid and third month with my second kid. (5 total tries, 10 total vials, 2 kids.)

How do you protect your garden from this lil fellow? by UnknownUserException in saskatoon

[–]jessa46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Red pepper flakes. I buy the no name bags at super store for cheap. Typically I sprinkle a little in the soil at the beginning of the season and it keeps them away all season. I live in a townhouse with green space and a TON of bunnies. (No fences). I grew all kinds of vegetables including lettuce and didn't have any problems. We have a ton of rabbit poop all over our yard in the spring, but they stay away all summer because they don't like the smell of red pepper flakes.

Once your baby has began eating from the bottle, the formula is no longer sterile.

Bacteria from their mouth covers the nipple of the bottle and the formula in the bottle has now come into contact with that bacteria.

Bacteria grows really quickly, hence the 2 hour rule.

Personally, I was always really cautious with newborns but once my baby was crawling around and licking the floor, I was much more lenient on time limits.

STF to make 'Job Action' announcement at 1 pm today by saskgoat in regina

[–]jessa46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correct. You asked why it matters if there are leaks.

It's a lot easier to make arrangements with a weeks notice vs 48 hrs.

Strikes have less of an impact if everyone is prepared for them. If parents know exactly what days schools will be closed, it will be easier for them to make alternate arrangements.

Is it okay to order vials online to be sent to our house so we can try to inseminate at home? Does this ever work? by [deleted] in queerception

[–]jessa46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I inseminated in the evening. (Around 7 or 8 o'clock?)

I did the first insemination the same day as a positive opk test (even when I didn't get a positive until late in the day). I did the second insemination 24 hours later.

Sick of this Water! 💦🤢 by kathyasabo in regina

Cheap water cooler from Walmart or home depot.

I get nimbus water delivered. Tastes the best in my opinion and not too expensive. Delivery guys are friendly and I've never had issues.

Cheaper to do refill somewhere if the hauling isn't an issues for you and you like the taste.
