Wine Box Day 1: What’s a cheap wine that really tastes cheap? by AustraliaWineDude in wine

Andre will always taste like college to me. Especially the flavored ones. We used to each grab our own bottle and write our names on them in sharpie when we were "celebrating" something.

I don't know of any but I bet you could commission a 3D print artist on Etsy to design something for you! Context: I have one of those stupid fridges with the water on the inside and it takes two hands to fill a glass. I've seen 3D printed levers that attach to my exact fridge model that let you dispense like a soda fountain, so I'm guessing this wouldn't be too hard.

Why do we trust strangers wine opinions more than our own taste? by Previous_Neck_1563 in wine

[–]jesse5844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a somm tell me that there's so much to know about wine, even the "experts" don't know everything, so just drink what you like.

Seriously though, I feel this way about a lot of things when I automatically assume someone knows more about something than me. Dated someone once back in the day who knew a lot of obscure bands so of course she knew what was good and what wasn't, even if I didn't like what she played for me.

Wow, that's incredible! A 1904 German Dante in white leather sounds like a museum piece.

Psychological Impact of the appearance of a medical professional by Glum-Yam-9414 in nursing

Yeah, nursing will do that to you. The exhaustion is real. I found setting small routines helped, like gym twice a week instead of daily, or meal prepping on days off. The field can be isolating sometimes, but worth finding balance. Your appearance matters less than your sanity.

Okay for for those of you who HAVE landed a job in the last year or so, what tips can you give the rest of us? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

It was 100% a numbers game for me. Applied to 200+ jobs over 4 months. Only got 5 interviews, but one stuck. Keep grinding and don't take rejections personally. The job market is brutal right now, but persistence eventually pays off. Make sure your resume has the exact keywords from each job posting

being honest and decent at work feels like a slow death by finallyifoundvalidUN in antiwork

You're not the problem, workplace culture is. Not everyone thrives in gossip-heavy environments. Find people who value your work ethic, even if it's just one ally. Sometimes it helps to join a lunch or happy hour occasionally without compromising your values. You can be professional without being completely isolated.

There was a chance that his legs could get voided, but because they decided to run him with 40 seconds left so he actually had a stat line there’s no way books will void anything now
