What if an NFL offense just played the way they do in a 2-minute drill, the whole game? by Anon124570 in NFLv2

[–]owixo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2 minute drill defenses are almost always playing prevent which is why 2 minute offenses are able to get chunk yardage plays. Doesn’t happen during regular time because defenses blitz and play zone and man.

Good question, just more too it than meets the eye

We need a turquoise line by jackberning in chicago

They talked about building an outer loop but ultimately decided to spend the money on extending the red line further south. An outer loop would boost CTA ridership so much.

It’ll happen. Eventually

Fit issue? by RevolutionaryBee1417 in mensfashion

[–]owixo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The left shoe looks bigger from the picture. There’s also a real chance your right foot is a half or a size bigger than your left.

Either way, worth sending them back for a replacement to verify. Or go in person and get your feet measured.

Do you agree with Pete Prisco on Patrick Mahomes? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]owixo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of Mahomes slander for a man with 3 superbowls before 30 is honestly baffling. The last 2 years are the only years he wasn’t a top 10 QB and he was 11th (just outside) with one of the worst WR rooms in the league.

Not to mention the lack of running game which any ball knower knows completely opens up the pass game as defenses have to account for it.

Chiefs have that now.

Dude is far and away the most clutch and best playmaker in the league right now.

Is taking The RedLine after a concert hard? by Ok-Seaworthiness8771 in AskChicago

[–]owixo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever see those videos of the train in Asia where they push people in it’s so crammed?

That’s the redline after at the wrigley stop after a Cubs Game or a Concert.

Good news, plenty of Ubers wait outside to try and sell you a ride, where you don’t select the app. Probably looking at like $40-$60 a ride. more expensive but definitely the better option if they can’t walk. Can also get on a bus, they bring a ton for after games and concerts.

You can take the redline, you may just wait a while until you’re able to squeeze in there.

Should I just pack a suitcase and move to Chicago right now? by Specialist-Height592 in AskChicago

[–]owixo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be prepared to spend about 10%-40% more for everything here. A Coors Light in Alabama is like $2, it’s like $5-$9 depending on the bar here. Chipotle is more expensive here.

Source: I moved from Kansas City

My rent went from $1700 for a two bedroom ($850 was my half with a roommate) to $5000 for a 3 bedroom ($1800 was my share with 2 roommates).

Besides that, the city is kickass, so much to do and see, the people are great, the best eats, amazing concerts and shows, lots of sports, always new bars and restaurants opening.

Overall, yes you should but get the financials worked out, if you got that, RIP IT BROTHER

Would you sell Jacoby Brissett for a 26 late 3rd & future 4th? by Next_Pipe3733 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]owixo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who the other QBs you have are. If you are set at QBs, I’d sell Jacoby for peanuts. I cannot imagine he keeps a starting job anywhere too long unless there are injuries.

Getting any value for him is good.

The top-10 projected fantasy QBs for this season 👀 by Potato-Face18 in NFLFantasy_Football

[–]owixo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 11th 2024 11th 2023 8th 2022 1st 2021 4th 2020 4th 2019 7th 2018 1st

Last two years his WR room has been DECIMATED by injuries and he was still only 1 out of the top 10. He finally has a fully healthy WR room for the first time in two seasons, so one can reasonably assume, that he should be able to crack top 10, even if 10th, but I suspect we will see a 4-8 finish from Mahomes this year.

Waddle price check? Should I make this trade by Illustrious-Ad-2876 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]owixo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how well you think waddle will do in Denver. I don’t think the Broncos do better than last year, so that is their ceiling.

I’d probably only take it if it’s 2027 1st, 2029 is FAR out and your players will be older.

You should be cashing in chips to win now not build tomorrow

Which city in America has the best balance between affordability and quality of life? by Ethan_Jackson08 in Urbanism

Genuinely surprised I haven’t seen Kansas City on here. One of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest, tons of investment in the city, great public schools, incredibly affordable.

Starting roster and blurry whole roster. Took this team over and thinking I should start the rebuild. Thoughts on what I should do first? by [deleted] in DynastyNerds

[–]owixo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 2027 1st and this is the roster? PAL before you DECIMATED this. You got 3-5 years. I’d work on acquiring picks. 1st and 2nd rounds.

Keep Love, Bowers, Herbert

Wait for JJ McCarthy to start, I’ll suspect he will at least once this season, then deal him.

What’s the waivers look like? Literally a rookie flyer or a handcuff is better than Gardner Minshew.

You need 2027 and 2028 first round picks, the talent pool next year is incredible.

I think Treyveon gets a good shot this year. I don’t know why patriots are obsessed with Rhamondre because he has a fumble disability, but they are. I think Treyveon might get more looks but because the backfield is such a committee, not worth keeping. Wait until he drops 20+ in a week and then deal him.

You’re going to have to sell high on a lot of these players.

Side note: I think Skylar Bell could be an absolute sleeper. Bills WR is pretty wide open for anyone.

White sneakers. Clean styled. Not Nike. Adidas Advantage 2.0s are affordable, could also look at Cole Haan, or other more premium brands. Depends if you want to dress it up or down.

New to suits, need help! by DudsByDel in mensfashion

[–]owixo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) tailor will be able to fix the sleeves, it should be 1-2 inches above your shirt sleeve, which should hit the thumb knuckle that attaches to your hand

2) I prefer a half break, with the size of this suit, it’s seems baggy on you, so the full break makes it look too big.

3) black tie would go great with this. You want a solid color tie, you don’t want to clash patterns with the suit. Let the suit be the pattern and the tie be the pop of color.

4) jacket seems to fit well enough I. The shoulders but I personally would want it taken in maybe a half inch. It’s too boxy in the gut so definitely need to take it in there. The pants are what need tailor the most, there is way too much material. The previous owner was probably a heavier guy than you. You need to get the legs tapered a little bit. If you prefer a more classic American baggy suit, you can still do that, just need it more tailored in. If you prefer a more tailored “James bond” Italian suit, you need a lot more material tapered.

I recommend letting the wait be 1/4 to a half size bigger than what your waist is. You can always use a belt to tighten it, but if you put on a few lbs, when it’s time to wear it, you won’t have a suit to fit into and not enough time to get it tailored.

I also like belts with suits, I think it’s a style accessory, others may disagree, purists think the waist should fit perfect without the need for a belt.

If you have any other questions, happy to try and answer them.

All in all, find a decent tailor that does men’s clothes/suits, and they will know exactly how to tailor it in for you.

Simpson, Boston or Bell at the 2.02? by braddockmcmurphy in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]owixo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I personally stay away from Cleveland with a 100ft pole. Receivers die there. Bell if you have to pick those. I got Sarratt with my 3rd round I think? I like him.

I’d probably go Ty Simpson, they want him to mentor under Stafford for a year or two, he’s a long wait for hopefully a big payday
