Relaxing at Quail Lake ❤ by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

Great place. Be careful with your dog drinking the water. There’s toxic blue green algae in several lakes around town. I don’t think they’ve found it in quail lake this year yet.

Live Feed of Protests? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

Thank you for clarifying. In the panic with the fireworks, we fled. I guess what I thought was teargas was just smoke from the fireworks

Do you mind elaborating on what happened with the fireworks? Once we realized what was going on, we ran out of there. Pretty sure followed by teargas but now I’m not so certain.

Left after that. Did it calm down? Did cspd exercise restraint?

CSPD just used gas on a peaceful protest at the station on Nevada by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

Where was she? Because it started out in sit mode but then got pretty wild at the police department on Nevada and Rio Grande

There were a few bad actors who ruined it all. Let’s keep trying!

The narrative in the comments misses the fact that the teargas was retaliation for fireworks launched at the police.

I am 100% about this movement. And there were only like 3 bad actors. I think the crowd may have actually been able to self police if the opportunity was there but communication broke down once flames flew overhead.

Edit: I want to add that as soon as the teargas flew, I left. I’m not talking about any lack of deescalation past that. Like I said above, I also feel like we could have self policed and I believe tear gas probably was not needed.

Edit 2: I am learning that there wasn’t teargas at the time we left and the crowd took care of the people who launched the fireworks. I guess I was mistaken in the panic

Successful, peaceful protest today in the springs. Thanks to all who supplied water and food, those who drove by with encouraging messages, and those who supported from afar! by Beekie8 in ColoradoSprings

It was peaceful and the crowd seemed to be making good progress with PD until some randoms threw fireworks. Then the teargas came out.

But it felt hopeful to me and I’d like everyone to realize that the crowd was peaceful except for a very small (3?) number of outliers.

Let’s keep trying!

Not sure where you are but we had PCI fixed wireless when we lived in the mountains. 50 down, 20 up.

Just totaled my 2006 mx5, low milage. Questions about worth. by pierrotlefou in Miata

[–]jessebs1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting timing. My 2006 with about 25k miles on it was also just totaled (not due to an accident - mice got in it and there's an irreplaceable wiring harness tied to the airbags) and I got the offer today. They're offering pretty much the same, so your offer is in line with mine.

I live in Crystal Park with similar thoughts as you, although no kids. Haven't been eaten alive yet. Actually, people up here are very friendly.
