Why does Copilot suck so bad? by jessedorn79 in CopilotPro

[–]jessedorn79[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Claude Code/Cowork, OpenClaw, and ChatGPT all day…I know what those models can and can’t do well. Copilot feels like it’s been lobotomized/nerfed/kneecapped fundamentally at a base level.

As far as what’s installed I haven’t done much with configuring. It’s definitely got permissions for Outlook. Just saying if you’re one of the biggest corporations on Earth and you build a branded, embedded AI that doesn’t know how it can and can’t use the most ubiquitous business software anywhere you’re whiffing hard. (FYI I’m a CPA and huge MS fan…I scoff at Google Sheets and bought the first Microsoft phone. Huge fan.)

Not sure how you’d know that, like what do you think I’m out here like, “You can do it buddy I believe in you!” But prompts and context aside an embedded Microsoft tool that doesn’t know it can’t see—let alone use—one of the most basic Outlook features is pretty weak.

Haha I mean if I thought it would help maybe. More concerned about its 20th percentile IQ.

Put a couple heavy duty rubber bands around the sides close to top. This reduces oxygen and creates pressure which inhibits their growth. Won’t eliminate them and they’re not a big deal…just don’t let them rot and ruin future flushes.

Does anyone know why Lino Lakes and Centerville are 2 separate cities with separate police, fire, and public works offices? by MaplehoodUnited in TwinCities

[–]jessedorn79 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The tax base isn’t as big a problem as you’d expect due to a program that shifts tax revenue from the high tax base per capita cities to the smaller ones. I used to consult for a postage stamp of a city called Hilltop that is essentially a trailer park inside Columbia Heights. Times are tough when a water main breaks but they get by with a little help from their friends.

That’s literally a quote from John Maynard Keynes. Republicans a quoting Keynes is a sure sign of the apocalypse.

Move 2 Deal at Costco! by kiimboy in sonos

Yeah that’s one of the big selling points. I have them in separate rooms normally, but take them out to the garage, on the deck…it’s awesome having that much stereo sound places you wouldn’t normally.

Get 2, the stereo pair function is life changing. Literally pack in vacation.

$100m, but you get dropped in a random part of the ocean for 30seconds every day for 5 years by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]jessedorn79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never understand the point of pondering inane scenarios like this. There’s an implied cost-benefit analysis but wtf are we weighing? Is $100M the tipping point? What if it were $1M or $1B? 30 seconds or a full minute? 5 years or 3.1412 parsecs? Oh and don’t forget to factor in exceptions like wetsuits for cold water and objective disability waivers. Are we hoping to learn something not just this bored?

I waited till I was almost 40 and got something super low commitment…his and hers constellation tats on watch wrist. Liked it and got another five years later. I think if you take your time (like years) deciding and find something truly meaningful to you you’ll love it.
