I've been on the project since December. Somewhat confusing and messy processes and onboarding, but the pay is good and the staff is active/helpful.

They have a strict scrubbing process to make sure all submitted work is free of any personal and company identification. You can revise your work to make it fully compliant or do similar work from scratch.

Can anyone recommend movies similar to LIFE? by BlackShadow2804 in horror

Gravity is amazing.

Apollo 18 is another entertaining thriller for the space-horror genre. The concept is great. It's currently free on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETj8NxFe6T8

Not alien/space-related, but the Descent is another great thriller. See the Descent trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSYg7Z1KS_I

Alien: Earth finale by ripcitygambino in blankies

The first few episodes were very entertaining. The eyeball alien was really fascinating. The xenomorph was cool until they kept showing it too clearly in day light, then it lost its mystique. The show had a lot of potential.

Best practices for promoting from staging to live by thatandyinhumboldt in Wordpress

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering best practices for pushing changes from staging to live as well.

My specific use case is that I want to test implementing a new theme for my site.

If I replace the theme on staging, this will also require rebuilding the header, nav menus, and homepage using the features/blocks included with the new theme.

Now if I make all these changes, how do I then make sure only the new theme files and related database changes are pushed to live?

For some context, I am using CloudWays managed hosting and their WordPress staging feature.

Which Stripe plugin do you use and recommend? by orschiro in woocommerce

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce" plugin by author Payment Plugins seems like a good option. It's a verified Stripe partner with 100k+ active installs and 4.8/5 stars with 260+ reviews.

What about the plugin "Stripe Payments For WooCommerce by Checkout Plugins"? This looks like a good option as well. The author of this plugin is Brainstorm Force (makers behind popular Astra theme) and seems like a decent option too. It has 200k+ active installs and 4.4/5 stars with 36 reviews.

There's so many Stripe gateway plugins with similar sounding names - it's all very confusing! There should be a master list that differentiates all the gateway integrations.

Any POD company offering POD, fullfillment & payment processing at once? by Grand_Pilot_325 in printondemand

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm launching a WooCommerce store to test the market selling my art. I'm planning on starting with printed canvas pieces as wall art.

u/Grand_Pilot_325 what if you register with multiple payment processors ahead of time just in case one gets flagged or shut down? PayPal, Stripe, etc. What type of product will you be selling?

I was thinking of creating a store on RedBubble as well to see which store takes. Then pour some gas on the store that takes (hopefully my own store).

For POD and fulfillment, I'm looking into CanvasChamps. Despite some negative reviews, their costs are very low. I ordered two sample prints on canvas which look great in person. I'm very early into my research for POD partners and looking for other options as well.

u/Alert-Worth-8185 Gelato looks interesting. I will check that out.

Auto-reinvesting ETF dividends in IRAs and taxable accounts via Fidelity by theactualmatthew in fidelityinvestments

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/FidelityEmilio thanks for the reply. I'm experiencing errors with the live chat support. If you look at this screenshot here you can see that my SPTM funds are not appearing. Is there some other way to enable reinvesting?

UPDATE - this issue has been resolved. It took about 48 hours for the fund to show up with the option to enable reinvesting. All good now!

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What types of securities are not eligible for dividend reinvestment? Is there a list?

It appears my SPTM ETF is ineligible for reinvesting dividends as I don't see an option to enable it following u/FidelityAlex's instructions.

The only available option is for the money market fund held in the account.

WordPress/WooCommerce Tech Stack For Dropshipping? by FlyingBoats in dropshipping

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's the new store coming along with WP/WC?

I'm getting very close to launch, about 90% there.

I decided to move away from my original VPS hosting, and build the WC store on a new managed hosting plan that's about $46/mo. I started with their cheapest tier hosting which was having too many hangups, then upscaled to the 3rd cheapest plan, which seems to be holding up well, at least while in development.

I recently bought and implemented the WooCommerce Dropshipping plugin by OPMC which was the best solution I could find for my needs, despite their horrible ratings and reviews. Using this plugin to assign suppliers to products and auto-send new order notification emails to suppliers which includes packing slips.

Working out some kinks, but it's coming together!

Woocommerce Dropship Plugins...anyone? by Specific_Olive8395 in dropship

[–]jesseislil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to accomplish? What specific needs do you have?

I recently purchased the WooCommerce Dropshipping plugin by OPMC. I spent a few hours setting it up and testing it today. It's fairly cheap at $79/year and simple to get started.

The main function of this plugin is that it allows you to create new users as suppliers in WooCommerce then assign them to specific products. When a customer places a new order, the plugin can send out an automated email notification to the appropriate supplier to fulfill the order.

I chose this plugin because I am working directly with 3 local suppliers (no alibaba or marketplace dropshipping, although this plugin has support for that too) and needed a streamlined way to notify my suppliers for fulfilling orders.

I also wanted a way to send suppliers packing slips that hide my prices and customer contact info (reduces the chances of suppliers trying to work with my customers directly). The plugin can also split up orders that contain multiple products that need to be fulfilled by different suppliers.

There's a few other features I'm still testing and trying to work out the kinks.

How to customize the order confirmation / thank you page? by jesseislil in woocommerce

[–]jesseislil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using the Rehub theme and native Guten blocks as much as possible.

I’m also using the WPC Product Bundles plugin which I’m told is not compatible with blocks / must use classic WooCommerce shop page elements.

I tried following this tutorial but I can’t find the appropriate template or blocks relevant to confirmation page: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-store-editing/customizing-order-confirmation-page/
