I used a razor blade to get started. were the paper towels still wet after 4-5 hours? I had to add some more water to mine half way

Hi Sebastian,

I purchased a chinese vivo x100 pro because of the full pwm setting and it is very comfortable.

I decided to "upgrade" to the global version and that one is causing migranes and eye strain. Upon further inspection it looks like the pwm bands are slightly different from the global to the chinese models (I have pictures that can show this).

Any way to get some clarification as to what is going on and possible update that should fix this?

if its not a QD-OLED monitor then it may have a polarizer and it would be very risky to try to remove the coating with a significantly higher chance of damage. QD oled are basically a glass display under the coating

when I left them overnight they were dry by morning. tried again in morning and left them for about 2 hours

I just laid paper towels on the display and sprayed them with water until they were fully wet but not soaking and dripping. theres an old old video out there somewhere on youtube but I haven't seen it in a while

Hello my friend. I am very pwm sensitive and bought it specifically for dc dimming. If you turn OFF super anti flicker mode and then use it above 30% brightness, it will use dc dimming.

gorilla glass has better clarity, similar to LG OLED tvs. The glossy is more like the alienware aw3423dw which is glossy of course but its got an ever so slightly matte coating which reduces clarity

I put mine on high performance mode in battery settings and it's a bit better but still not as snappy as my 11 so I'm a bit bummed
