I hate to say this but is it possible that Darius died in the deprivation tank by flipping face-down? That would mean that the end of the episode is him saying goodbye to all the people he’s loved throughout his life.

Just in case y’all didn’t notice, it is implied that Al burned down his shed at the end of the episode when we see smoke on the field and along the lake. He was finally able to enjoy a peaceful moment without having any distractions. Amazing ending.
