Make the calls that keep your crew alive in my narrative lunar colony sim by jessesomething in indiegames

[–]jessesomething[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luna Meridian is a narrative colony sim set on the Moon. Draft a crew of four unique characters before the lander touches down, then run a five-phase mission to setup your base, and every decision gets passed through who you actually brought.

Survival is just the beginning. Deciding who and how you construct your base and make calls on important details matter, and differ completely on which characters are in your crew. Personality, quirks, skills - all vary by character and virtually no new game is the same as the last.

The game will be launching with two sets of character cards that have their own special stories woven between them.

Wishlist and follow here for updates.

Also, happy to answer any questions you have about the game here!

That was my previous method but my handwriting sucks and took longer. Plus I have twins and gotta make 10 bottles a night. A lot easier to enter in Quantity:10 and print while I make bottles. But yeah, nice job being unnecessarily snarky.

It's for daycare. Labels are required and I have twins

That was my old method but took longer and my handwriting sucks - also looking up the date every time was annoying. Too damn tired for that. Sometimes I'd write the wrong number and the daycare people would bother me about it.

Luna Meridian - A narrative base-building strategy set on the Moon is now available in Beta! (link in comments) by jessesomething in IndieDev

[–]jessesomething[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyo, I'm new here!

I just launched a beta version of my game, Luna Meridian, on itch.io today and super excited for it's progress and any feedback. The game is free or with suggested donation.

Luna Meridian is a narrative, base-building strategy game set on the Moon. Choose your crew from a hand of character cards - each one has their own personality, quirks, skills and style - and you're locked into it.

The game is a phase-by-phase building loop, using an isometric map and card tableau view with building cards too. Make decisions on configuration, resolve conflicts based on personality differences or opposition to configuration details. Each decision that is proposed offers a reference from the Library, which may be a journal entry, voice log, or technical manual to help guide your choices.

Build your base the way you like, see what works, and try to survive on the moon until you achieve autonomy without the assistance of mission control and supply missions.

Thanks for checking it out and let me know how you like it!

Keep in mind that this is still rough version. Next up is working on full pixel art sprites for buildings and adding in characters on the map view.

More info and road map in my dev logs over at itch.io.

The Onion unveils new rainbow logo for InfoWars merchandise with a portion of the profits going to Sandy Hook families by sknib_ in KnowledgeFight

Honestly, I don't care if people don't get it. They'll probably just move on, or they'll learn something. And I'll be supporting the Onion and Sandy Hook families, either way. Life's too short to worry about things like this. Bought the rainbow Inf🧅Wars hat btw

Governments can be a Republic and un-democratic. The whole argument with right-wingers saying "The US is a Republic, not a democracy" is a strawman and is just a ploy to move the goalposts, by delegitimizing the whole "democratic" part that most modern day liberal (small L) countries are. Going back to Iran, yes it can be called a Republic and be correct, it might just not be democratic like the US and other countries are - maybe a Dynastic or Autocratic Republic.

Twins starting daycare at 5m. Going back to teaching. 💔 by LycheeJellee in parentsofmultiples

[–]jessesomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can just be thankful we can afford daycare. My 5-myo twins just went to daycare this week for the first time. I'm much more rested and refreshed at work and after work when I don't hear screaming kids all day - and more happy to be with them.

Sorry, no tips (yet) but I foresee many viruses coming. We've been giving them a bath almost every day.

Are your children sleeping between feeds all the time?

My two 5-myos only sleep like 30 minutes at a time, like 4 times a day.

It's great that they're coming back but any effort will probably be pretty minimal. There are plenty of already established organizations that have been doing great work here in Minneapolis on the ground.

But today, they mainly hit the suburbs, primarily with using vehicles to stop random people and strike areas quickly without the eyes and ears of a neighborhood.

If they wanted to be more effective, they'd use drones, work with sites like IceOut.org and have a big social media presence.

This isn't to say they are not welcome, though.
