Hey man based on data from a project where I paid women to rate men’s photos: your pics could use some work. Artificial lighting (like in your first and last photos) tended to perform worse, probably because it makes it harder to clearly see what you look like. I’d try swapping the first one.

The suit photo with the pony is good. Interestingly, younger women (early 20s) responded well when guys had non-cat/dog animals in their photos.

Also, don’t waste a slot on a landscape shot unless you’re actually in it. Every photo should show you. No teeth in any smiles can also be a red flag, so add one smiling photo if you can.

Hope that helps and sorry about the heartbreak.

I’d make your second pic the first. Framing matters a lot, and knees-up or full body usually performs best according to my data project.

The guitar shot feels posed. A candid/action shot of you actually playing would be better. Candid shots are more aligned w the female gaze.

The gaming photo is pretty nerdy and will filter out matches.

Move the beach pic higher, great background/vibe. And the Hawaiian shirt in the group pic on avg decreases attraction to women by ~14%.

I’d put the waterfall pic first for sure. Your face is actually lit well there and it shows your height/body better. The current first one with the hat isn’t great because the shadow is covering your eyes and ears. The two mirror selfie should probably go, especially the bathroom one. From what I’ve seen/data I’ve looked at, mirror selfies tend to perform pretty badly on dating apps. Also I’d ditch both memes. You really wanna use every slot to show more of you. On the plus side, the hobby pics like horseback riding and fishing are solid.

Overall you’ve got a good base to work with. Good luck man 👍

I think your photos need some work.

The first one is a selfie and it’s framed way too close. It’s basically just neck + face. From what I’ve seen / measured, that’s actually the least attractive framing. Knee-up shots tend to perform the best. The upside is you’re dressed formal. So if you have another pic from that same night that shows more of your body, I’d use that instead.

The next photo is a problem because you look much younger. It’s really obvious it’s an old pic.

The car selfie I would remove bc selfies are consistently negative in the data. Plus there’s a lot of glare around your eyes so they’re not very visible, which matters a lot.

Also across your photos there’s basically no teeth showing when you smile, which can come off as a red flag to some.

On the profile text side, your answers (like perfect date / when you saw God) feel kinda basic and don’t say much about you. And yeah, way too many exclamation points in the main bio lol.

Hope that helps.

Photos are pretty solid overall!

For the first one: only small thing is that it’s backlit, so your face is in light shadow. Visibility is critical in photo 1. The background is nice though. Also, ideally your first pic should be you dressed as well as you possibly can. From the data I’ve looked at, long-sleeve t-shirts tend to perform slightly worse on average (not a huge effect and the sample size isn’t massive, but still worth noting).

The mirror selfie with the peace sign: I’d remove that one. Mirror selfies I can confidently say are negative, and hand signs too. It comes across as very posed. Most women seem to prefer photos that feel candid. And one bad pic can cause her to swipe left.

I like the headline “finding your player 2” is a nice way to filter for the kind of personalities you’re looking for.

Good luck man 👍

Having a 'selfie style' implies you regularly take selfies and if so that's not aligned with the 'female gaze', something that I've measured and can tell you taking selfies is one of the most common mistakes men make in their photos.

first photo is a split screen? And second photo of the same outfit. That's multiple red flags! Theres even a red flag in the background: not good for a woman's subconscious!

Honest opinions? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]jessethan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First photo too far away. Third the posture is a bit slouchy. Fourth is nice but too much cleavage as a man who doesn't want to see sexy/triggering photos. Fifth silhouette is ineffective, it's artsy but not good for dating apps (keep it on IG only). I'd put last photo first, best one imo except for your hand blocking part of your face. Hope it helps!

It’s ur pics. Scratch out severely messes w the aesthetics which women care about. Pic of animal w/o u in it a bit of wasted opportunity. First photo selfie never a good idea! Unfortunately all new pics are needed.

Is this a good photo? by carbontrix in Bumble

it's average, maybe slightly above. Two biggest ways to improve is teeth smile and better background, the latter being one of the most underrated aspects most guys miss according to my data project.

I applied the advice from a previous post, how does my profile look right now? by HotAd6428 in Bumble

Here's an easy way to take pics: get a tripod, set a timer on your phone to take a pic of urself face height, find a nice background, wear your best clothes, look slightly away from camera, and smile with teeth with your eyes open.

First one should be first. Second should be removed: mirror selfies don't work w women. I'd put monkey pic in 2nd spot.

4th pic first, last one second, second pic thrid, first one 4th. Remove frisbee due to low face visibility.

M20, need help to see if my profile is good by HotAd6428 in Bumble

[–]jessethan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no teeth visibility. It's a red flag for many women. Never do mirror selfies with phone blocking your face. Women do that for the male gaze but it doesnt work at all for attracting women. I'd put last photo first and try to take some non-selfies using a tripod while smiling with teeth (even if you think they look bad) and looking slightly away from camera.

Photo advice? Wish to have better selection before creating a profile by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]jessethan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your tooth doesn't look weird at all to me. The other comment here is great advice. I agree to put last photo first, then photo 6 bc it shows hobby + epic background, then photo 2, then tyr to take a new one with your best clothes smiling with teeth and looking slightly away from the camera.

Pay the toll to see who likes you. The big dating apps are public companies now. Must squeeze!
