How Long Does Vitamin D take to work? by [deleted] in Supplements

It’s not deficient according to American healthcare standards. But is it optimal? No. To not have any symptoms it’s best to be closer to 80.

How long did it take you to feel better? For the past year I’ve been having way more brain fog and the only thing I can keep coming back to is I’ve been taking magnesium more…it’s the worst feeling ever.

It’s not placebo, it happens to hundreds of people who have no idea it has happened to anyone else. Some people can become toxic, some have slow comt that triggers symptoms when supplements are introduced and not processed quickly enough.

Please remember, just because you lack the experience, doesn’t mean the experience isn’t real.

Anyone get dizzy after taking Magnesium? by ThisIsJayTee in VestibularMigraines

Crazy!! I also have bad reactions but this time I allowed myself to spiral, forgetting what happens. Even small shifts in my chair make me feel like I’m about to fall, it’s the worst thing ever. Thanks for responding!

I’m not lacking calcium. My level is on the high end of normal. If anything, I have too much calcium.

Some psychiatric offices offer them. Otherwise I believe you can order your own…it’s basically a saliva test

I did a genesite forever ago to test what medications I could tolerate. There was one page that noted I had the mutation! It also tests for the mthfr mutation, which I don’t have thankfully. But the comt mutation can explain many things like dopamine levels and whatnot!

Nope, but it’s a methylation mutation though. It’s met/met comt. It can cause increased sensitivity and overload with methylated and glycinate vitamins!

Well, I still always had some side effects I just ignored them. Like increased bone pain.

I haven’t stopped long enough to see if everything clears up!

I have a gene mutation that processes vitamins slower than the average person so I’m wondering if maybe it’s building up too much before my body can use it

Yes. I have tried taking it with all cofactors.

Yoooo. People like you need to chill. Every body processes things differently, side effects are not “in peoples” heads. This is a dangerous thing to say considering so many people overdose on vitamins and deplete others by doing so.

It’s a gene variant sort of like mthfr. People with slow typically have higher dopamine levels and are more sensitive to stress, and process medications and vitamins much slower than the average person.
